North Korea has one of the largest armies in the world, most probably nuclear missiles and etc... They might have tested a nuke, but all we have to go on is their word. I can think of a few reasons a nation state might lie about having nukes. The North Korean leaders aren't crazy, they want to stay in power, and they know if they launch attacks on anyone, they'll be turned into that proverbial glass parking lot all the chicken hawks in the previous US administration kept squawking on about. North Korea will see support from China continue to wane, as the Chinese get more and more interested in making shit loads of cash.
