These are PRE-MASTERED encodings, which are either straight from tape, DAT, drive or Elcassette etc. And yes the original analords are 24bit wav. As far as the .wav and .mp3 downloads go, they're a bit haphazard... some are 48kHz, some are 44.1kHz... Most seem to be 16-bit. I wouldn't worry about it. Well I went straight from Chosen Lords to the digilords, what with not having a record player... They sound pretty similar or the same as far as I can tell.
