Far Cry 3: Blood Dragon

Already pre-ordered this a while back. I played through FC3, but the 1980s-style retro-futurism in this is definitely appealing.

Any Steam users able to pre-load this yet? I still don't see the option.

no pre-load yet :( doesn't look like there will be either

Well, that's OK.

I had to get a U-Play account for FC3, so I suspect it'll be required for Blood Dragon as well, even if it's purchased thru Steam. U-Play is like Ubisoft's proprietary version of Steam. I don't it's available yet to play on either though ATM.

Is this a standalone game or do I need to buy far cry 3 to play it?

this whole thing would've been much better had they made this first instead of far cry 3

I played it when it leaked. It's aight but not as good as proper far cry 3 so far, but I have not played it very much. But, this trailer is amazing:

Nothing like ninja cyborgs, energy katanas, and hot magenta lasers to whet our appetites :shuriken:

I'm a little over two hours into Blood Dragon now. And I flol'd several times along the way already.

This game in no way takes itself seriously, and even makes fun of Far Cry 3 itself. So far there's no drama, heartbreak, or sadness. And the deliberate cheesiness is perfect. Just all good fun along the way.

Seriously, this game is funnier than an elder goat's balls. It's equally strange and ironic that no one else seems willing to discuss it since its release.
