Usually he's second to me (after Pogo) but he's one of the most known Scriabin interpreters for a reason and IMO in top 10 pianist of the recorded history. But, ever heard of Michel Block? Compare this interpretation of sonata no.2 to Sofronitsky and Pogorelich. I thought i understood this piece of work until i heard Block. Sorry for the off-topc... Of course, Horowitz, one of the best. But somehow i never managed to like his playings enough to listen to his interpretations in general. I liked his beethoven stuff the most. #...his statement that there's only two kind of pianists, eider a jewish or gay (well he was both), didn't help me eider.
