doublename
I am following the draw live for unknowable reasons. Will City be drawn into another comedically difficult group with Real and Juve? Are Barca shit now? Is football shit now? Will this competition ever produce another genuine surprise? Link to comment

Amen Lare
I am following the draw live for unknowable reasons. Will City be drawn into another comedically difficult group with Real and Juve? Are Barca shit now? Is football shit now? Will this competition ever produce another genuine surprise? I would sign a petition for football to stop being so shit, but wasn't at least Dortmund a genuine surprise just last year? They got to finals from pot 4 in death group. Regarding Barca and all, almost every top club hired new coach, it's very special and unpredictable season at the beginning. Link to comment
doublename
It's true, Dortmund were a surprise last year, considering their draw. Hopefully the combination of managerial upheaval and the upcoming World Cup will leave the door open for a few more this year. Link to comment

Guest Ron Manager
as a city fan, yep, that Munich defeat was fucking embarrassing. although even if Pellegrini had got the tactics right, I'm still pretty sure we would have lost. Bayern's showing was one of the best team performances I've seen in a long time. It's true, Dortmund were a surprise last year, considering their draw. Hopefully the combination of managerial upheaval and the upcoming World Cup will leave the door open for a few more this year. were Dortmund really that much of a surprise? they were back-to-back defending Bundesliga champs... they'd always been threatening to do well in Europe... Malaga perhaps *should* have been the surprise package! Link to comment

Malaga perhaps *should* have been the surprise package! A year ago they couldn't get out of the last place by far in a group consisting of Arsenal (that Arsenal), Marseille and Olympiacos. Roster remained the same except maybe Kagawa for Reus swap, where Kagawa was the best player of the season. So yes, it was extremely suprising if to count their group of death. Malaga was good, but never won Real Madrid caliber of a team, only average looking Milan & Porto. Link to comment
Adieu
I caught some matches last night. I have a soccer channel now so its pretty cool. I played pretty seriously until I was 18 so I very much enjoy the sport. Link to comment

YO303
This Bayern team is too good (even better than pep's barcelona) , im watching beautiful attacking football, not bullshit sideways passing of barca. This is not a football team, is a machine, i just saw the midfield dispossess arsenal in less than 30 seconds. ouch Link to comment
Guest Gary C
It's a lot more impressive against 10 men, isn't it? Arsenal were equally as dangerous with 11 men on the pitch. Link to comment
