what, no ability to skim, but what if i'm an hardened consumer that just wants to get to the main course? Kudos for breaking your back making a pretty website, but yaknow, mystery is a locked door to discovery when we're but passengers of ships in the night.

I'll add a scrub tool later. I was just recently learning to use the soundcloud api.

For some reason only one song appears when I post a link here. It's actually a link to an entire EP (in retrospect I realize I posted in the wrong sub-forum):

Charisma Cult: Smart the way you Intimated a melody via strings, then translated it into a long synth. The way the white noise stops is unnerving midway, but I like that, especially since I found the white noise unnerving to begin with. Sounds like a contraditction, but its not. I got used to that which was unnerving and then missed the way it left me off kilter. It's cinematic, but not in a bad way....more in the way it takes its time because it's got time.

i'm really enjoying this and the minisite is a really nice touch. what was it like working with Noel Summerville? how did that come about?

I spent some time trying to figure how to find the right mastering engineer and it was mostly due to the fact that it was my first time doing this. I wasn't sure what a good or bad rate was. I knew that I didn't want to invest too little because you get what you pay for. I also wasn't convinced that my small project required some hot shot. I just made an assessment of my work and thought I should locate someone who at least understands the context of the music. I love AE so I looked it up and contacted Noel about his rates. They're actually really reasonable. I'll likely stick with him. He does have a very traditional approach to mastering but I support the carefulness and non-exaggerated nature of his work.
