Constrobuz - We Will Die
by Guest No Pomo- 2 replies
- 1.1k views
http://www.cicadashell.com Here is Constrobuz's We Will Die. A whopping c50 of beats, 13 tracks in all. Though this work is produced through contemporary techniques, it evokes a timeless feel with a unique use of melody not often found in most beatwork. This album mixes elements of post-Dilla beats, melodic IDM, and dubstep, forming compositions much less derivative than most in these genres. These works are not meant to be 12" club tracks, instead We Will Die is an arrangement of restrained and thoughtful tracks meant to be listened to in its entirety. Pro-dubbed, pro-printed tapes. Check out the audio preview. http://www.cicadashell.com/MP3/WeWillDiepreviw.mp3 …

Square People - Cosmic Sans Vol. 2
by Guest No Pomo- 1 reply

Working out of Tennesee, Square People brings us Cosmic Sans Vol. 2, a mega-hit compilation of some of his best work to date. In 22 tracks, Square People covers an absurd number of styles in this collection while maintaining a cohesive aesthetic of his own. His work draws from 70's jazz, 80's College Rock, and 90's R&B and is produced in a DIY future-retro electronics manner, ultimately creating a sound destined for cassette tape. Seriously a great tape. Check out the preview, c46, professionally dubbed, get them while they're hot. http://www.cicadashell.com/MP3/CosmicSansVol2Previw.mp3 7$ or 9.25$ , :)

Unmarked Noise – First And Last

Now available on Bandcamp and Reverbnation. Unmarked Noise – First And Last, 7 track Digital idm/acid release! Unmarked Noise explored and imploded the edges of his basement’s headroom, scraped up the remains and put them in a test-tube, Bunsen-burned what was not yet scorched, spread the ashes over the ever fertile grounds of Amsterdam, flirted with the local scenery while waiting for his fruits to grow, Mashed them up, poured that in a mold, and made sweet love to it. That!, my ladies and gentlemen, delivered the all singing, all dancing, incarnation of vintage-synth, Warhol wannabe, Nike wearing, bohemian bastard, by the name of Jesus W. fucking Christ. Shine o…

I'm terrible with genres..... ...but here is my first album to be released somewhere other than on my own website. The title sums it up quite well, its a load of stoned guitar loops recorded through a shitty mic from the last 2 or 3 years with added effects/beats/synths/samples. Released on Elpamusic http://elpamusic.blogspot.com/ Preview below. http://soundcloud.com/arboreal-1/muffled-preview Thanks to anyone who takes the time to listen!

Hello. Two previously limited edition disc only Dissolved albums are now available digitally for the first time at Bandcamp. Secrets of a Lepidopterist Secrets of a Lepidopterist Originally released in 2006 as a double disc album on Metanoia Media (50 Copies only),this album gathers together rare tracks recorded on tape, aged, found and repaired equipment and some of Dissolved earliest computer based tracks, recorded between 1999 to 2003. It serves as a interesting look into the development of that early sound, 34 tracks taking in experimental ambient, drone, tape based synth music, sample based collage beat tracks and dark melodic experimental glitch. Peaking Lights - 936
by Guest Hanratty- 6 replies

I am liking this one. Every once in a while, you find a musical project that would work under any circumstance, even on paper. There’s casual genius, there’s steel-belted conceptual genius, and then there’s the Madison, Wisc., duo Peaking Lights, who wrap both notions into a can’t-miss moment of blissful, dubbed-out splendor that lingers long after it’s ended. Alongside more urban-minded travelers like Blues Control or Religious Knives, who ride similar rigs into the hot and bewildering night, Peaking Lights knows a thing or two about a groove, and how to make it work in the duo’s favor. Unlike those two projects, however, the music on its newest album, 936, …

Afternoon WATMM, Sleeps in Oysters' new album Lo! is available now with numbers 1-50 issued as a super deluxe special edition with animal masks and sewing kits - exclusive to the Seed Shop. (Music’s not bad either) It’s a truly classy package of delights to rival Debbie McGee popping out a cake wearing Ronnie Corbett's eyes as earrings. "Lo! is equal parts warm, frightening, articulate and above all, beautiful." - Clash Magazine You can pick it up from us, Norman, Bleep etc. by following this link: http://www.seedrecords.co.uk/shop/seedshop.html If that's not enough, we're also happy to give away free downloads of Nightwave's (formerly known as 8…

I think... Just a second... Yup, I just creamed my pants. I'm particularly looking forward to his Océano album. Cosmos was a bit of a letdown the first time I listened to it, because I was a bit disappointed by the fact that it wasn't more like his older works, but after listening to the album under the correct circumstances (under the night sky) I was blown away. I also saw him live in Berlin (he played in a huge planetarium - amazing!) earlier this year. The visuals were not by XX+XY as they usually are, but instead it was the planetarium's night sky footage. It was so minimalistic and it moved ever so slow but damn it was beautiful! He has just uploaded a tra…
