Bleep blurb: 'Former Australian now London based musician John Chantler offers his second solo LP for Room40 'The Luminous Ground' - his first solo outing in over seven years. 'The Luminous Ground' is just that - luminous. A pulsing collision of oscillated tone, filtered voltage and syncopated rhythm. It's a record of densely joyous, hazily psychedelic, modular synthesis. A playful yet thoroughly composed exploration into the possibilities of patching.' I'm really really looking forward to this release as the samples are beautiful. Bleep page. - has samples John Chantler's homepage. - has samples Label homepage. - record label homepage down as of this…

ACPR008 : Sunken Foal - Mother of God Available from Today! Btw, it's well worth spending the extra cash on the Flacs. Tracklisting Low Mountain Light Socket Gift Knee Pads Colloidal Glass Platforms A Row of Gods Pearl Bearings Boomkat review - "Two years after their well-received Planet Mu album, Sunken Foal return with six tracks for Acroplane. 'Mother Of God' finds their sound at a juncture of Alex Smoke-like, Autechre-referencing electronica in 'Low Mountain Light Socket' and the mercury fuming synths and quickstep syncopations of 'Gift Knee Pads', while 'Colloidal Glass' is a glassy IDM configuration and 'Platforms' like some swaggering Gescom beat. Ace." Soundc…

Back in January of this year I decided to set myself a challenge. The challenge was to write at least two minutes of music every day and post it up somewhere people could hear what it was I had made that day. I kept it very low key because I didn't think I would last the week. But much to my surprise I kept going. To me the results were surprising in that they seemed to be fairly cohesive whilst not sticking to one style of music. I was approached by Terranean who wanted to help me promote it, they also supplied a couple of remixes and fixed up the artwork from the original picutes that I took each day to go with the release itself. Now hopefully if you are still interest…

The self-proclaimed sound poet Marsen Jules generated quite a lot of buzz with his classical inspired ambient album "Les Fleurs" that was originally released on the Berlin based label City Centre Offices in 2006. Eight musical miniatures were carefully selected to appeal to fans of home listening classics such as Kompakt's well-known "Pop Ambient" series. Throughout the whole album, Marsen created a complex web of sounds, consisting of musical fragments of harp, vibraphone and classical jazz sounds. For his live act, Marsen Jules gets accompanied by his long term friends Anwar and Jan-Phillip Alam on violin and piano. Out of this cooperation grew the Marsen Jules Trio…
