  1. wapo counted over 22,000 false and misleading statements from trump since entering office https://www.washingtonpost.com/politics/2020/10/22/president-trump-is-averaging-more-than-50-false-or-misleading-claims-day/ biden being senile is the new hillary's emails/bengazi/birth certificate. it comes from a marketing team. they slapped each-other's backs because they knew it would be perpetuated by people sharing it. talk shit about dems if you want. i get that they could be better. aoc articulates needed adjustments, well. but, my take is that the GOP is so deeply, malignantly fucked, that we should be careful about raising the negatives on the other party
  2. i get more of an elseq vibe from plus, and, if anything, an oversteps vibe from sign, though it is really different, and darker. plus is drugs for sign? provides an elseq-like shuffling experience, when mixed. splits up the solid emotion with miscellania. if sign is an initialization then perhaps sign is the base album and plus is an addition to it? dekdre scrap will make your neighbors trip balls ecol4 is nice autechre dub. g 1 e 1 evolved. lux106 - lush af? 1 = a, 6 = f x4 - lovecraftian transforming machine elves funk with sublime ending esle 0 - epic alien sci-fi funeral scene nice laid-back, weird-shit album. the 2 combined strike me as a strangely powerful masterpiece.
  3. ya. that's what i was talking about, that interview. would just be cool to hear them expand on how they view their use of compartmentalized generative.
  4. there was one of these threads, somewhere. i'd be interested to ask about their use of generative. like, they said they don't do generative. but, they do, though, right? it's just, like, composed generative. expand on that, pls. tx
  5. an impromptu discussion, as US election results are being counted, between the great journalist, maria ressa, and christopher wiley, who has unique insight into the modern information landscape
  6. REPORT: TRUMP PLANS TO BARRICADE HIMSELF IN THE OVAL OFFICE AND REFUSE TO COME OUT IF BIDEN WINS https://www.vanityfair.com/news/2020/11/donald-trump-no-concession
  7. making things up wholesale, otherwise misrepresenting things. to be fair, he said "detroit is another place." that is true.
  8. interesting that wiley is using this word he knows better than anyone exactly the reasons why it is wise to be careful using words like that, in that exact context, in particular. sounds like people should be ready to sound the signal of absolute civility, if idiot king and his chief moron are actually in it for the long haul.
  9. not that i think trump and barr are dumb enough to do this, but, just to document it for watmm record Armed Agents Are Allowed in Ballot-Counting Venues, Justice Dept. Tells Prosecutors https://www.nytimes.com/2020/11/04/us/politics/justice-department-armed-officers-election.html
  10. pollsters: "we adjusted for 2016. that's not going to happen again. calm down" 2020: *polls are way off*
  11. please just calmly address the faults of the arguments, using informal logic terminology, and demonstrate receptivity. we have a unique opportunity, while the symptom is presenting, to provide improvement to bad reasoning, which is the root issue. the masters will lead them to overcome their own bad reasoning, themselves, by posing questions in a friendly way.
  12. turnout is high. biden will have a big gap in the popular vote, 4 million maybe. turnout projected close to the previous record, from 1960. georgia and pa still in play. gains in the senate, gains in the house. not a blue tsunami, but the democrats were, you have to admit, up against dirty players. it's a good thing the dems delivered that turnout, because the republican turnout was pretty high, too. this has been illuminating into demagogues and athoritarians and their bases. i wonder if you could make a power source out of russian trolls laughing their asses off. or he's consciously gambitting a dangerous fraud, for some reason
  13. not really. biden looks likely to get WI, MI, AZ, and NV, which puts him at 270. nail-biter, though.
  14. re: dumb americans yeah, for sure. also, though, the era of disinformation, in which we are living, is of significant consequence. and the problem remains, and the solution has not yet arrived. i continue to maintain that the solution cannot be outsourced by the individual - it must be distributed. we will be forced, eventually, to evolve norms of teaching each-other adequate information-handling skills.
