  1. I don't find the term 'oh la la' to be befitting of hardcore fucking on film. Maybe for softcore romps like Emmanuel but not for the extreme hardcore that the people on this forum consume daily. Oh la la and weiner don't cut it.
  2. Saw Moonlight last night and i think the hype on this is killing it a little. I dunno, a film about the circle of life, what makes a man, man going full circle, deep things, very subtle and well acted, just needed a bit of extra something. I thought afterwards ''there are loads of films like this, whats so special about this one?''. I watched Mark Kermode's review just now and he is wanking over how great it is from the first frame to the last. I thought Manchester By The Sea was a better film but still way too overpraised. Moonlight was doing something a little different, s'pose, but wasn't blown away. i'm not deep or poetic enough t'would seem.
  3. Pink Room is raw. What i'm listening out for is the track from the bit at Harry Stanton's trailer park where the pole becomes the centre point, just before chris Isaak vanishes. That was some sweet sound design, not hearing it on here. But this is a delightful soundtrack nonetheless and twas a joy to revisit it.
  4. Cranking the fire walk with me soundtrack tonight on speakers. It's immense. My fav so far? Gotta be A REAL INdication
  5. i dunno, i think there is something enchanting about Trance, i rather liked it after second viewing, Boyle likes to mess with the timeframe in the editing and he also does it in T2, taking a different approach to what would be a straightforward scene, usually incorparating music and a voiceover. But you can see the Nic Roeg geek in him the way he likes to jump around, flash back, but not dwell..trying to keep it interesting, sometimes to its detriment. Infact he did it in Steve Jobs aswell but with more restraint.
  6. Trainspotting 2 - 7/10 Strange to see these characters going at such a different pace from the frenetic first film. There was something just a little bit off about it, it meandered a bit. The flashes of brilliance were in no short supply though, so i can forgive the gaps in narrative and the difference in pace for a film which delivers such a visually rich canvas, an ode to it's past but moreso a basker in it's own very self aware history
  7. Tkakanren sounds incredible on loudspeakers.
  8. Quadrange is completely doing it for me. I used to hold them in equal regard but the I'm feelin a little somethin exra from the 'range. It's like the 'tice unleased. (yeah ok it's 901 ones )
  9. Vanderhuge, you're still 'in' after everything i've said tonight? I kinda see where you're coming from.....Ok everybody lets just listen to nightmail at full volume.
  10. The 'I'm in' thing defeats the pupose of what this is about, i think. It's about going in and buying a record. For people who live nearby or are willing to travel. I would travel a 50 mile radius to visit this shop just meet Kaito and talk about Total Recall. But truthfully, it could have been distributed a litter wider, but then we don't know what tracks are on it so there is a level of skepticism (although I did like that track on the Houston record). So this is a thing that collectors are geeking out about, I can't relate to that, I just want the music which we'll all get.
  11. Heh, Ae. MC Hammer wants his trousers back. Ralph, are you related to Nick or have any info on the origins of the Nolte name?
  12. Over the last couple of pages there was a stream of people saying the phrase 'I'm in'. Were they a) realists b) optimists c) fantasists or d) other. The 'I'm in' craze seemed almost contagious. It seemed like anyone could do it if they put their mind to it. But at what cost? Do not lead these men into the factory of crushed hopes
  13. Revisiting the Quadrange ep tonight for the first time in years and it sounds better than ever. All those 901 tracks really hit the spot. On a bit of a Quaristice binge at the moment, trying to get the individual track artwork on my phone is proving to be a bitch. Loving the Quaristice shit more than ever before hearing it tonight, and I listened the shit out of these tracks back in '08-10. Sounds good tonight. whats my favorite so far tonight? those 901 ones. Dang.

This is perhaps the most embarrassing post I've read on here. Your body goes into spasms as the cringe paralysis takes hold.
  15. hell yeah, they've moved it forward, gives me a few months to get into the book. I sat for an hour last night reading Nadine's medical history and started to see why those cotton balls were her saviour
  16. I only read page one and was outraged but I've seen since ted Osborne, Sanders and Kaito will drive the vinyl too your house and hand deliver so that is amazon levels of customer service. Sent from my E2105 using Tapatalk
  17. Who the fuck is Geoff Sanders, Todd Osborne and Kaito? A family of hipsters trying to cash in like a discogs parasite? What gives them the right to play people like this? They're revelling in their middlemen status, but the reality is they're not needed. It may be true that Kaito is being dragged into this by pops but he'll be tarred with the same brush unless he stands on his own two feet and leaves the business. Sent from my E2105 using Tapatalk
  18. Ugh, God, I'm gonna have to get this after getting the last one. They're nice prints but once you put them in a frame you don't really see the imprint effect behind glass unless you put them in a place with a lot of dayliight.
  19. Ain't you that guy rubin hazed a few months back? Dang You came back for extra sugar
  20. Hell or High Water 8.8/10, War Dogs 7.8/10, The Big Short 7.4 (not as good as Margin Call). The Nice Guys 8..2/10 Shane Black, I miss you man. What's goin on with The Predator?
  21. Thanks very much, outstanding recording.
  22. RIP Mij 2005-2016 My pupper passed away last week, miss him like hell. Going through the old photos to get a nice photo to get printed. In those ones above he was only 1 years old I think.
  23. He made a lot of money from royalties whenever anyone clicked onto the meatspin site but blew it all on hundreds of lip inflating cosmetic surgery procedures.
