  1. Just put on Signs Under Test and enjoy the next hour.
  2. Just remembered that John Maus had a connection to Sam Hyde/Million Dollar Extreme.
  3. So it would be possible to put some of these folks behind bars or ban travelling. Aren't you arguing for the opposite?
  4. @chenGOD Ask your lawyer friends how one can surveil potential terrorists, thus prevent terrorist attacks, but not prevent right wing nuts who openly are planning to get in to the Capitol building with guns. EDIT: A lot of these guys have been arrested before.
  5. @chenGOD Enrique Tarrio was arrested right before this because of "suspicion" of burning of a BLM flag a month before. A coincidence? If well know right wing nuts are conspiring on right wing social media about how to get in to the Capitol Building, throw them in jail on the suspicion of jaywalking. Or ban them travelling to DC. In Europe there are many examples of football hooligans not being allowed to travel across borders, or even inside their own country. Just because the police know what they're up to. It's hard to believe that there was no possiblities to do the same thing before this event.
  6. The storming of Capitol Hill was organized on social media. EDIT: From NYT (Unable to link):On social media sites requested by the far-right, such as Gab and Parler, directions on which streets to take to avoid the police and which tools to bring to help pry open doors were exchanged in comments. At least a dozen people posted about carrying guns into the halls of Congress. I mean, US Intelligence even spies on European allies. How can they not follow right wing social media the days before this happened?
  7. Well...they actually made merch. And media reports that this was planned via Gab and Parler. So people responsible for security SHOULD have known. They were among the protesters.
  8. If you're clueless after reading this thread, I'm not sure I can help.
  9. Ironically, hyping "unknown artists" makes it less about the music.
  10. I really dislike Cult 48 for the same reasons Electrobleep mentioned. If it just had the same vibe, I would be fine with it. But all these clones who shamelessly tries to copy "the whole package" like Cult 48, Clocolan or early Tycho really rubs me the wrong way. Track titles, imagery, the "mystique". I guess you can get some attention doing this stuff, but is the goal to sound like a really anemic copy of your idols? For those who would like music with BOC-vibes/atmospheres but with som originality I would recommend Percival Pembroke- "A Course In The Theory Of Drones", Boreal Network- "Itasca Road Trip", or 1991.
  11. At that footage of the woman being shot there's a MAGA-dude with a rifle pointing against the security guards. I'm kinda surprised that only one person got shot.
  12. Enjoy the simple life with family and friends. Keep on with the workout I already do. Be happy with what I got. Enjoy music, movies and art. Happy new year to you all!
  13. @zero How old are you? 91 was probably the most defining year for me as well.
  14. 13 years old, and had a short but intense gangsta-rap period. NWA, Public Enemy, 2 Live Crew. Didn't have a lot of money, so it was a lot of sharing and copying cds from friends on to cassettes. Still remember my first CD bought, Straight Outta Compton. At the same time I guess I listened to what was on the radio. MC Hammer, Michael Jackson, Roxette, Tone Loc, Milli Vanilli and so on. This was pre-Prodigy, so I didn´t listen much to electronic music. Some dance-pop like C+C Music Factory and Snap. Of the more credible stuff, some JM Jarre, and a band I remember really blew me away; The KLF.
  15. Ashamed to say it, but 99% Spotify. When I (almost) excusively listen to music while working (like now on spotify web player on my work pc) or on my phone during hikes/training/commuting, I have no use for files. In a perfect convenient world I would pay a lot more for Spotify, and Spotify would pay artist decent wages. I bought a new record player a few months ago, hoping it would lead to massive vinyl "investement", but I've just bought one album after that. New years resolution would probably be to buy more music. A record here and there, and support artists on bandcamp while still listening to them on Spotify.
  16. @thumbass Could be a point, don't know about RYMs popularity or number of members, but Plaid's Polymer (2019) has double the ratings compared to Scintili (2011). You have to go back to Ultravistor (2004) to find more ratings than Be up a Hello (2020).
  17. I guess he has lost most of his early fans already. I believe rateyourmusic reviews/ratings could give a hint on popularity/hype. The most popular EP, Kindered had 84 reviews, and almost 7000 ratings. Last years Claustro have 4 reviews and 1100 ratings. I would guess that a new album would build some hype/pressure and a sort of comeback vibe. Untrue was a good album, but the bar isn't really that high. Think about Syro, or everytime BOC returns.
  18. It's ok. Nice energy and flow. I like the fist pumping synths between 5 and 6 mins. Sound like early rave era or something. Kinda annoying vocals. I wish mr Bevan could have the guts to make a four track pure rave ep instead of the usual bits and pieces with crackle in between. Not going to do the same old mistake and put on his early works right after this.
  19. Wow. For us with one foot in pop/rock and one foot in electronic music, and...well...the crotch in ambient, this is really nice stuff. How does his other albums compare? I recently discovered Durutti Column, and I need more of that dreamy guitar-ambient music.
  20. The day after i post my top 2020 album list, I suddenly discover this soothing, blissful thing. Matthew Cardinal - Asterisms
