  1. I remember it as Ridiculous Refrains, are you saying it's called something else now?
  2. That's one of your dumbest yet. Congrats. Love, light, etc.
  3. I remember getting Cowboys From Hell a year or two after it came out, had no idea about their previous incarnation for many years. Was pretty funny when I found out. Reminds me of Dr Dre before NWA. The Abbot brothers were great though, some pretty iconic drumming on CFH and Vulgar Displays, Dimebag was a great guitarist too, probably my favourite player back then. I stopped listening to metal pretty soon after Far Beyond Driven so never kept up with them, I'm just presuming they got crap after that, and to be honest I was starting to get bored with metal by then anyway. I still listen once in a while for nostalgia's sake.
  4. I've never read the original grimm's fairy tale I've only seen the disney version growing up good ol' steel trap memory:) Be the Light that radiates unconditional Love and have Fun:) many other people have read the original though, and thus it entered the collective consciousness, whereupon it entered into your, now weed addled, brain, replacing the actual memory before it had a chance to fully bed in.
  5. "mirror, mirror, on the wall" is the from the original grimm's fairy tale, 'magic mirror' is from the disney version. shitty memory strikes again.
  6. The opening fight scene between the two of them was really bad. Worst moment of the show so far. Rest of the episode was pretty good though.
  7. lol, never heard of that. skipping thought it though, and is that one of the boyzone guys doing coke? wtf. lol. https://youtu.be/IPne3Wh0lqk?t=1591
  8. We should have been able to detect it by now if so, so either it's not as common as we thought (which is hopefully the case), or it is really common, but so is the fact that something always happens to snuff it out (war, ecological collapse, asteroid, paperclip armageddon, etc.) or lead it to live a hermetic existence.
  9. A whiskey sour, while I wait for the ribs to smoke in the bbq.
  10. The American's finale. As is usual with long running shows that was a pretty unsatisfactory ending in many ways, but it wasn't too terrible. The U2 was pretty bad alright.
  11. I'm still digging Westworld. The only thing that annoys me about it is the fact that somebody (usually Dolores) has to say to somebody 'I've got something to show you' (or words to that effect) about twice per episode, usually followed by them cutting away and never seeing what it was they had to show, I've taken to shouting at the TV whenever anyone says that now.
  12. Yep, there was one bit in season one that was really cringey, they were all walking in slow motion while smirking like a bunch of bad asses while some awful shite played in the background, was terrible. All of the flashback stuff had bad music choices too.
  13. The best thing about Barry is the characterizations, all the actors seemed to have made a big effort to come up with believable and unique personalities, even if they only have a few lines. And yes, Noho Hank is great.
  14. I've just drank two London Mules to help with the heat, it didn't work, but at least I'm drunk now.
  15. Wasn't that the same excuse given by yer man from The Thick of It?
  16. a cross between mad max and cyborg, it looks really really really bad.
  17. how much of your waking life do you waste on this nonsense?
  18. Tom Wolfe, 88 https://www.theguardian.com/books/2018/may/15/tom-wolfe-journalist-and-author-dies-aged-87 Still have a bunch of his books to read, but The Electric Kool Aid Acid Test, The Right Stuff, Bonfire of the Vanities and A Man in Full were all great.

  20. Zakir Hussein is great, I love his stuff with Shivkumar Sharma.
