    a nice simple gin drink is a gimlet, which is just gin and lime juice (or lime cordial if you want it a bit sweeter, or you can add a drop of sugar syrup to regular juice). I like a g+t, or a g+t with a dash of grapefruit. or gin with lots of ice and a mixture of oj and grapefruit juice is also nice. i mostly only drink cocktails in the summer myself though as well, you could always just wait...

    You're nitpicking here (maybe that guy was just a bit taller than the other, already pretty tall, guy from prometheus), they're clearly basically the same thing, you can't say the original isn't a suit, it doesn't explain what it is. No point blaming Lindelof (he's just at fault for the shitty dialog and crappy characterisation), the Engineers as space jockey was in the original script (before Lindelof got involved) because that's what Ridley Scott always wanted it to be (according to him), he told them to write it that way (and no retcon because his explanation is as good as any other given what we're shown from the first two films). We share 96% or whatever of our DNA with chimpanzees, so being virtually identical to these guys isn't a big deal (prometheus just says there's a "DNA match", it doesn't go into details), also they do seem to have biomechanical attributes as well (weird vents and pipes and things, they seem to blend into their suits).

    it was larger because it was a suit/mechanism the engineer gets into (a bio-mechanical interface). implications and giger's thoughts on the matter aren't really relevant though, none of that was part of the film. also the engineers don't have the same DNA as us, clearly they're quite different, even if we're supposed to be somewhat based off the same building blocks, none of that goes against anything in the original films either.

    it's probably not much of a retcon though, I mean in Aliens the settlers were guinea pigs sent there by Burke to get infected. it was never revealed how much the company actually knew or to what degree they were involved in what happened aside from that, so it probably all still fits.

    the xenomorphs just take on traits from the DNA of the host they burst from, hence the doggie alien in Alien 3, or the engineer one at the end of prometheus. the aliens we all know and love are just a result of their gestating in humans. "who and why?" is just "who are the engineers and what's their deal?".
