  1. I am even more fetishist, I still haven't buy it
  2. Yes! Amen Lare posted the code on the previous page: Damirat Istant Buy The unusual thing with Damirat is that it captures authentically attention, without the "try to be autechre" effect that generally creates a veil of preconception Even the individual works of the two are awesome: Shin Sung Hoon https://dingndents.bandcamp.com/album/one-atove Changhee Kim https://dingndents.bandcamp.com/album/mptof
  3. ... it's enough that I read NTS, that a prehistoric compulsion drive me to put it up ... it's not an easy thing to manage. 8 hours, I mean
  4. I'm exploring the other Ding / Dents releases: South Korea seems to have an unrivaled concentration of minds: I haven't heard such cool stuff in a long time. This pixcurve by Damirat has no respite, lushness a gogo: https://dingndents.bandcamp.com/album/pixcurve
  5. I don't know if this story can fall into the "funny" category, but it sure has its place in the WTF one. So, nine years ago my mother was affected by a cerebral effusion, which cost her 3 months of coma, 1 year of hospitalization, full left hemiplegia and a cognitive condition very similar to that of a child, but lacking in short memory. Every now and then I play music and ask her to associate emotions. It is an exercise that gives basic answers, such as "happy", "sad", "i don't know". Mainly it is about music connected to her youthful experience, like Pablo Milanes, and sometimes, something that is alien to her but quite immediate (boc). Today I played r catz. At first she was silent, so I helped her, asking for a figurative image, a landscape. She thought about it for a while, and at a certain point, out of nowhere, she said: "Calatrava". How this was possible remains an absolute mystery.
  6. Same here: I was initially thought about the psychedelic genesis of the bats, then the twist: the bats are already included in the world, and I am looking at a gloomy apology to conformism

For almost a year now there are no signs of life, except for Sophie Remix. Is it time to arm a new PLS season?
  8. Here again all the Mixlr 2020 files, pandemia on air (I think there is something that the previous time I missed). I loaded them for a user, so, already there, I link all here if someone is interested https://we.tl/t-tpyjE9DfDo https://we.tl/t-JPnNY8pbuV https://we.tl/t-56h5x6uq9X https://we.tl/t-m6HolRm1LD https://we.tl/t-goSxYZNXkB https://we.tl/t-1QlbZQzhCU

yes, this latest mix - the same guy made a first one, a few years ago, which he - or she? - seems not satisfied with - is very accurate, even the decision to move some initial sections of the set, towards the end, has its own reason. being, although it represents a completely arbitrary choice. The onesix mix can be found here: it seems that in the description there is also the download link
  10. In the past they carried out sets for at least a couple of years, transforming them, and many ideas, than, have arrived in albums published further after (Exai, 2013, have inherited a lot from the 2010 tour, and ideas from ae_live fueled elseq and NTS): I think this long break may have really pushed the evolution of the new Live (just think of how the latest dates of Onesix have become enriched with details from the first) and so, from the various segments, new track are born for the next album. Nothing will be lost
  11. I also imagine them revisit the new set, with claustrophobic obsession, to the point to transform it into a physical phenomenon capable of permanently influenced the coordinates of time and space. Beautiful and fatal. More probably, now free from any contractual urgency, they are spending days playing sonic
  12. mhh, yes, but Cathorino is Catherino and limes is limits. Surfing on dyslexia
  13. Today I discover Dolores Cathorino. The microtonal work of her manage to maintain harmonic consistency, with the addition of a sense of proximal imbalance In music theory I have huge limits, it is however true that when I listen to things like Ivan Wyschnadsky's preludes I notice also the limes of the conventional scale
  14. sign plus is evolving into the "getting it" phase. Now that my attention is no longer captured by prominent things, truly subtle details take on a decisive role, and consequently change the perception of what I was used to. By letting things flow without intending to focus, while doing other things, I find myself actually doing nothing and being much more focused than when I was purposefully focused. And, as usual, I wonder how I hadn't noticed the whole mass from the beginning. Yes, I wonder, but it is also true that, this time, they have been seriously careful to hide some things. Submerged suggestions. And so, you have done it again.

  16. Fortunately, I've never found myself in a shit like the one in the video, but I've seen enough fucking scenarios; the closer the party is to the city, so the easier it is to reach, the more colorful fauna it becomes. Slow motion stabbings, vans set on fire, calves in the mouth of a pit bull, snatching with sticks on the head: I'm not Snake Plissken, nope, and if I want to burn some synapses, specially today that I'm an old stoned, I get much better on the sofa but I also remember cool situations. Things that wouldn't really happen on the sofa.
  17. central part of Lukas solo could fit as a split with arsedestryer second phase
  18. what I did not know, and that only today I come to discover, is that Ligeti has put around a son, and that this has taken over from his father the urgency to push the music to the limit of its possibilities. Here is Lukas Ligeti, in a sort of 20-minute long polymetric blastbeat: here a composition for xylophone that must have given Ji Hie Jung some serious headache (the first piece has points of contact with Plaid) Jazz with confield infection: gorgeus marsma and here he is, full of enthusiasm, obsessed with pushing the boundaries:

    elseq 1-5

ps: I feel this fact more in elseq than in NTS: in the second, are dilated those pieces that tend to ecstatic, therefore conditions that make indefinite duration a strong point. Obviously the first example is all end: it does not matter whether it lasts 20 minutes or an hour or more: when you are in, time stops. And my will too. But also Turbile epic casual or shimpril air could extend to eternity

    elseq 1-5

personally I find in eleseq and NTS some very high moments, eleseq 4 and 5, for example, are peaks in the discography, but in the other chapters there are also areas that I perceive as accessory ... I think the reason is this: those albums were designed to fit exactly that length, this means that, if in the previous, every note was necessary for the structure of the track, in the latter there may be cases in which the need to reach the desired minute overrides the structural rigor... it's not a criticism of the length (i mean, the more the better), but how a practical necessity may have influenced the arrangement. Do not the final 7 minutes of elyc6 0nset exceed a little in self-indulgence? I'm quite sure that if there had not been a duration constraint, the ideas would have been condensed. having said that, these are huge events, eruptions of ideas and the imposing affirmation of a style, of a vision for sound, which do not exist elsewhere, and like all Autechre's output, they change over time along with my perception
  21. Uochi Toki (again) "Uochi Toki play electronics and draw in VR broadcasting from home during the quarantine."
  22. there is a huge oversteps_tour vibe there... this collapsing Bergman takes me immediately to those areas ps: 2010's sounboards: autechre please
