    “Gaslighting isn’t real, you made it up because you’re fucking crazy” is a pretty great line. I’m still iffy on R&M from scene to scene at this point but that bit got me good.

    the mandalorian is just shitty sergio leone in space, which on paper i’d be super down for but unless they unmask pedro pascal soon it ain’t shit. nothing like watching plank from ed edd and eddy walk down dimly lit outdoor(?) hallways for 30 seconds at a time. werner herzog was great tho

    After finally getting to hear the RAMZi x Priori record I’m down to give whatever this guy does a shot. What a wombo combo.

    Don’t be fooled by the “Hulu Original” tag, because this is actually pretty good (and apparently it was only bought by Hulu after production wrapped and it started getting buzz on the festival circuit). Follow-up to Under The Shadow by director Babak Anvari, very understated and unsettling psychological horror. Solid performances and some very memorable imagery sells some occasional weak script moments. Hulu in the US, Netflix most everywhere else IIRC.

    Mobile won’t let me copy/paste into watmm but search /r/StarWarsLeaks, a user named JediPraxis has a 3-part synopsis of the entire movie. Skepticism abound but multiple aspects have already been confirmed by the trailer, so it’s looking like a GOT S8 situation where everyone calls bs and the leaks end up being 100% accurate. whoops didn’t see your post joydaddy uwu

    The death of Tuca and Bertie is just the latest in a long list of things Netflix has cancelled that makes me hesitant to ever pay for a streaming platform again. If Bojack got a truncated last couple years that's fine, honestly, because that just means I can mercy kill my Netflix sub sooner rather than later.

    Yeah, I enjoyed it quite a bit - but the split season thing makes it narratively awkward (it’s clearly just half the story so a lot of the plot is dominated by setup). At least it’s only for a couple of months. Netflix is really trying to eke out as much money as they can before everyone cancels.

    Well shit, I guess I’ll give this one a go. I liked Elaenia but wasn’t a huge fan of the Mojave stuff.

    I dig it. It’s about on par with La Di for me, a bit below their debut but far more engaging than Gloss Drop. Or maybe it was just the edible I ate beforehand. I liked it, but it probably won’t make my end of year list. Still gonna see them next month though - at this point I enjoy them live far more than any studio recording.

    I think I actually like Enterprise better than Voyager at this point. They're both fairly bumpy rides (and hoo boy do they both have some stinkers) but ENT gradually gets better and better until by the end I start wishing they had gotten a few more years once they had worked out the kinks. You can also very easily stop ENT the episode before the finale. I did it for years because I heard the finale was so bad, and finally watched it on my last rewatch because I figured what the hell. It lived up to the hype. It is astonishingly lazy and terrible, even moreso for being the last episode of the show's strongest season so far.

    Also even though the first one got hamstrung by a PG-13 rating and hack director Paul W.S. Anderson, AvP: Requiem (once you adjust your gamma settings so you can see literally anything) is actually a perfectly great C-grade splatterfest.
