It really mirrors peak 90s SF TV in that each season improves on the previous one by several orders of magnitude. Quite frankly astonished it lasted as long as it did on SyFy but I guess they were fairly desperate for another BSG and/or a GOT-type “prestige” genre show. Of course that same network also cancelled Dark Matter, which looked like it cost about $100 per episode, so go figure.

Yeah, Krautrock was one of my first ever deep dives into a specific genre/time period of music and every time I go back to revisit it there's more and more stellar stuff to be found.

Yeah I’ve been getting back into watching films as well. It’s really nice to be in and out with a proper narrative arc and definitive ending in under/around 2 hours. Also TV is back to largely being pap now.

Yeah it gets real ridiculous once you realize you’re getting matched against people who are sponsored to play 8+ hours per day. Given my 2 hours every couple days regimen I felt honored to make Gold and get cannon rushed every goddamn game.

Ladder will be up at a later date from my understanding. But I was always shit at WC3 ladder so that’s less important to me. (Not that I was ever good at SC or SC2, even in the SC2 Beta I peaked at Gold 1 which is basically the big dumb cheese league.)

I feel like if you expected a show that even Patrick Stewart as of several years ago swore would never happen wouldn’t cater to a little fan service, it’s not the show for you? I mean referencing Bruce Maddox in the first ep is the epitome of fan service but they set it up so it’s a throwaway unless you’re into the mythology. Also maybe I’m biased because I’ll watch Allison Pill in anything.
