  1. "leave the goggles on. it's hot" seems like ya could multi task. go half screen.
  2. if you wash your hair with something pleasantly fragrant you might get a longer hug since he'll take a little extra time sniffing your hair.
  3. <a href="https://watmmrecords.bandcamp.com/album/we-are-the-music-makers-volume-one">We Are The Music Makers | Volume One by Various</a> minimal-ish. well crafted tunes. nice release.
  4. someone told me they're watching game of thrones so i told them to save this for when they get to the end.
  5. have seen that idea echoed from other people. i'd be surprised if it didn't add up over time.
  6. some well done nostalgia in these two tracks. kind of sweetly optimistic sounding riffs. dreamy escapism w/a touch of the sad. will have to grab for when i want a piece of cake. edit: so after listening to this on a drive... endearing bits. it reminded me of an old mix tape from the early 90s after it had been copied a few times. nostalgia. the 'lord of ecstasy' (or whatever it says) vocal sample is just on the edge of being too cringe for me. but i guess hell raiser samples back in the day lived on that same edge. i'm sleep deprived af and the release fit well w/that. nicely smeared and accompanied the rainy drive well. i think he sampled himself in there somewhere
  7. i died. save your burgers for that danksumbich down there.
  8. i guess this could go in the Ai thread too but here it is.
  9. own the libs at any cost. the pro putin pro russia segments of the maga chuds etc are a bizarre twist. i hope tucker gets hit w/a EU travel ban etc. anything to inconvenience him a little.
  10. typical car review over long drives.. i time stamped it to the end where their conclusions are.. pretty funny that the edges are super sharp and can slice vegetables.
  11. Interesting discussion with a doomer about doomerism. Some good questions after the talk.
  12. "confirm you are human" and getting a weird captcha that's always asking me to choose hats. happens before every post/reply etc. edit: didn't happen this time.
  13. Pantheon - pretty good. gets banans in 2nd season Scavengers Reign - PK Dick meets Fantastic Planet meets Ursula K. Le guin. i really liked it.
  14. 32inch LCD TVs were around $5000 for a decent brand back in 2003 or so. The tv I bought a few years ago was like $400 and it’s 50+ inches and has many more features than tvs of that era. the market for $3500 tvs today probably overlaps some with the various VR goggles that currently exist. Meaning it’s small. I can see how there’s lots of specific uses for apple goggles now in various careers. Otherwise it seems like a solution in search of a problem. High end consumer gadget that some people will really enjoy and others will hope to discover life hacks or whatever. But people who want to enter a space and mock up lighting for a performance… museum installations etc. anything where someone would benefit from seeing something in a space before they build it will probably find a way to do that with AR and VR goggles and the relevant app. This saving time and money edit: also, if say ya want to see what the Sheraton hotel in 1993 downtown New Orleans looks like on fire during Mardi Gras without actually hallucinating it then VR goggles might make that possible.
