Radiation Dub flac on a good pair of headphones is a good enough sell for any non-believers here as well. 5.1 not necessary.

My favorite track on In Dub is Happiness Supreme Dub which was basically just a sample skit on RUOK. Vintage Jack sample work on this one. And great scratches. Edit: just realized Sweepstakes posted above

The man is a role model for sure. I basically see him the way most peeps here view Boards of Canada.

And those scratches. He’s got one track in there with Z-Trip but several others where there are some serious cuts. Like he’s proving a point. He probably was.

Just popped in to say this is one of Jack's best. RUOK in general is hugely underrated.

Wrong answer. But he’s right about the Luke Abbott LP - it is “crazy good”.

The movie was like Ralph Breaks The Internet for grownups. Way too much going on visually at any given time.

Cabaret Voltaire - Shadow Of Fear (Mute)
Extralife replied to dcom's topic in New & Upcoming Releases
Well I’m not really blown away by this at first listen, but I would get why fans of their older stuff would like it. The first few Sandoz albums easily stand up with the best dubby ambient techno albums of that era. I mean, come on: -

Me too. World War III is one of my all time favorite tracks. Super funky. -
August Prism = wow, what a closer. As much as I enjoyed his recent soundtrack forays, it’s really nice to see him getting back to making tracks again.

Cabaret Voltaire - Shadow Of Fear (Mute)

Completely agreed. Love everything his made during this era but I am a sucker for that early 90s sound. I feel like most people don’t rate those last few albums, and I never really understood why. SO many gems in the Sandoz/Electronic Eye catalog. -
That’s a nice review. Congrats fellas.

Honestly this is the album I’ve been waiting for him to make since Holkham Drones. Will definitely warrant future listens.

https://lukeabbottmusic.bandcamp.com/album/translate Luke Abbott just released his first new album in several years. That is a special event in my life. Late contender AOTY, folks.

Just finished this with my 8 year old. Super fun in co-op. I recommend Pikmin 3 Deluxe also for co-op play.
