  1. that is beautiful... +1! i love how it's very simple yet always evolving. Thanks guys, glad you enjoy. This was made by just letting a few max patches do their thing + some knob tweakage like I mentioned above while I moved my webcam around the studio, letting the track play. Things you can see in the video if you pay attention: Edirol FA-66, Korg PadKontrol, DSI Tetra, BCR-2000, marijuana pipe, my face Sadly my storage drive recently died and I hadn't back up in a while, so I lost many of my recent Max experiments and all of my sample library from the last 10+ years... Now I'm just getting back going after doing a fresh re-install of Windows and getting everything set back up. I've decided to look at this whole incident is a good thing tho, it will force me to change things up a bit which I feel is needed at this point.

  3. Here's a video I did a while back using Max/Jitter + my webcam. DIfferent parts of the video respond to different instruments + some live knob tweaking. [youtubehd]0X8LkoeqSH4[/youtubehd]

  9. I've been homebrewing for about 3 years now. I'm the VP of my cities homebrew club, and I started a homebrew thread here on watmm long ago. Let's get it going once again! I've currently got an English Mild and a nice American Pale Ale I'm drinking. I have a batch of an American Farmhouse/Wild ale w/ Brett that's been aging (I honestly really need to bottle it at this point, the FG has been steady for over a month). I need to get back on brewing more often as I'm planning on having at least 4 batches for my wedding reception in June...
  10. If you're into it, there was an interesting article recently about the twin brothers that hate each other and run Mikkeller and Evil Twin brewing companies. I haven't had the Yin either, but Evil Twin has some delicious beers. Imperial Biscotti Break, Hipster pale Ale, Falco, and Molotov Cocktail are all awesome and there's even more to try. http://www.nytimes.com/2014/03/30/magazine/a-fight-is-brewing.html?_r=0 Currently sipping some Makers Mark on the rocks. Had a few New Belgium Ranger IPAs and Oskar Blues Dale's Pale Ales earlier.
  11. Cellar it for 3-5 years and it becomes amazing!
  12. Untappd is a social drinking site where you check-in to the beers you're drinking, comment on other peoples check-ins, "like" other peoples check-ins, and earn badges based on different criteria. I pretty much use it to find new beers and keep track of all I've tried. www.untappd.com or get the app for your mobile device.
  13. I use untappd all the time. Add me up, same name as here.
  14. I enjoyed the Blvd Coffee Ale. Picked up a few bottles. Re: Deschutes I went to a tap takeover on Wednesday. Finally got to try The Abyss. Very nice Imperial Stout brewed w/ molasses and licorice. Also had the Armory XPA which was good as well. I agree that they're quality all around. I recently picked up a bottle of their Class of '88 Barleywine and a couple bottles of a collaboration called Collage they did with Hair of the Dog. The latter is a blend of two beers from each brewery, some sours, aged in various barrels, and it actually has a best after date on the bottle instead of best before. I'm looking forward to trying it at the end of the month!
  15. I had the Stone enjoy by 11.09.12 and it was amazing. Sadly Stone doesn't distribute here yet. They're currently in the process of choosing distributors for my state though, and I've heard that they could be in stores as soon as a couple of months! Enjoyed a Goose Island tap takeover last night; Bourbon County Stout, Big John, and Night Stalker mmmmmmm
  16. Drinking a homebrew Oak Aged Bourbon Vanilla Porter tonight. It's been bottled for about 2 & 1/2 weeks now. Not much head, maybe from the vanilla bean oils? Regardless, it's tasting awesome! 7% abv, aged on American White Oak with Makers Mark and Madagascar vanilla beans
  17. Ooooh , was it only the 70 distrubuted in Kansas, or was it just fairly limited? Our store usually has a good supply of Tallgrass beers, I hope the boss got some if he could. I love the regular Buffalo Sweat one of my fav stouts. The Left Hand Brery "Wake Up Dead" was a pretty solid stout, not exceptional, I've had better, but nothing to complain about either. It's worth a try if you happen to see it out there. From my understanding it was distributed to other states, but yeah, pretty limited. Hope you can find some! You were supposed to drink that 2 & 1/2 months ago! BLASPHEMY!! I wanted to get a bottle of this since my b-day is 11-9. I got to have a bit at a tasting event, but it's just not the same... killer glass That's the official Tallgrass Brewery Tour Pint glass. They're big on canning, hence the can-shaped glass They change the color really often, Wish mine was something other than brown, but I can't complain
  18. Vanilla Bean Buffalo Sweat. Pretty limited, only 70 cases distributed here in KS, and it's a KS brewery. Very nice!
  19. Yeah, it's awesome. I use the Weihenstephaner yeast for my homebrew hefeweizen for that awesome banana flavor. Already burned through a couple six packs of Left Hand Milk Stout Nitro. Better than regular Milk Stout, so creamy and awesome! http://www.lefthandbrewing.com/blog/wp-content/uploads/2012/05/Milk-Stout-Nitro-Press-Photo-300dpi1.jpg I'm currently drinking a homebrew clone of Deschutes Mirror Pond pale ale. Pretty close to the original, a bit more hoppy though, and not quite as malty. Edit: fucking tapatalk won't let me insert a picture WTF....
  20. Merry Christmas ladies and gents!
  21. Sadly no Westy 12 here in KS... I'm sure it's tasty, but it's hard to justify that price with my current money situation. The monastery needs a new roof from what I've heard.
  22. Delicious! Have you had the Bed & Breakfast beer by that first brewery? It's very different.
  23. This is fucking amazing. Like drinking a Hershey's kiss. Dayummmmmmm
  24. Northern English milds are quite tasty and only like 3% tho...
