I love Ommegang, but I can't find any of their newer/smaller-batch brews out in LA (although I'm thankful for the Saison and Dubbel and Three Philosophers I can get). I enjoyed this beer earlier this week. Interesting take with using the yeast they chose on this one.

Stone RIS is amazon. I've only had it once at a brew fest in Missouri since they aren't distributed here in Kansas. Also Midwest Beerfest is this weekend here in Wichita! 300+ beers FTW!

A local brewery does weekly firkins on Thursdays, tonight it was a Tiramisu Brown Ale. Their regular brown with espresso, chocolate, lady fingers, and marscapone cheese added. It was amazing, tasted just like the dessert. Unfortunately it sold out in about 10 minutes so I only got one.

Lol, I picked up a 4-pack of Ommegang Scythe and Sickle, pretty nice. We also have a bomber of their Seduction ale with chocolate and cherries, was delicious when we had it back in February, hopefully it's only got better with time.

The Green Flash Double Stout is always great. They're one of those breweries that can do no wrong imo, all of their beers are great. Hop Head Red is probably my favorite of theirs, but again, they're all good.

Someone else just recommended the Duchesse to me earlier on facebook. The Tart Lychee was ok, decently tart with some nice warmth from the cinnamon. IDK if I'd buy it again though. I recently got my gf onto La Fin du Monde while at a nicer bar with tons of offerings. She likes saisons and Boulevard Tank 7 is one of her favorites, but she wanted to try something new so I suggested it and she fell in love instantly.

I actually just picked up my first Flemish Red yesterday, drinking one now. Nice blend of sweet and tart despite the nose being deceptively lactic.

FUCK YEAH! KANSAS! Buffalo Sweat is my favorite Oatmeal Stout. Oasis is very nice, also check out their 8-bit Pale Ale, it's awesome. We always go to their local firkin events and last Monday they had a new West Coast style IPA called Area 51, very nice floral/citrusy IPA. Hopefully they'll start distributing it, but the normal rep lady wasn't there so I couldn't get any insider info.

Me too. The cool thing is it isn't just a CS:Source update, but a full revamp from the bottom up. Now I'm kinda curious about Black Mesa, but I'm even more stoked about the new X-COM slated for release next month. I've heard the hitboxes are shitty, any input there? I've seriously considered getting CS:GO, but I don't play games as much as I used to, and it's pretty much been Blacklight: Retribution lately.

its even earlier in the Netherlands which makes no sense at all Isn't file sharing OK up there? Hollywood has been releasing movies earlier overseas to try to get ahead of torrents. They also want to avoid negative press from the US affecting ticket sales elsewhere. -

Now that you mention it, maybe 10K Days was really tongue in cheek.... Never considered that before. My main complaint about the album is that it just feels formulated, like Lateralus + Aenima = 10K Days, and yeah hella compression, but that's the norm now so... I'll definitely check out whatever they're up to, but I'll wait to be wowed.

The alternate tracks-ordered Lateralus is probably my fav. Tool album. Anyone else tried that? 1. Parabol 2. Parabola 3. Schism 4. Ticks and Leeches 5. Mantra 6. Lateralus 7. Faaip De Oiad 8. The Grudge 9. Triad 10. Eon Blue Apocalypse 11. Reflection 12. The Patient 13. Disposition. That gives the album a different' more cohesive feel. Also interesting how some tracks seem like they were made to flow into each other.

I think you're overanalyzing things. please tell me you didn't call glenn (the asian dude) weak! no one gets in and out of a tight situation like him! also, hershel (old farmer) has shown himself to have bad ass tendencies. So Glenn can be replaced by a rat! (i say he is weak because one - when they had the shoot-out in town he was useless he froze was too scared or something, and two .. his whole relationship with Maggie, what a fucking pussy, Maggie wanted to fuck him all the time and he was like "i don't know if i love her blah blah). Hershel became cool after we found out he was an alcoholic (and that he was the power to never run out of ammo), but he is too old to drag a Rick-less group. You keep saying you hate it,yet continue to watch.... -

totally agreed, Rick is a fucking pussy... The gf and I tried that "2 screen experience" sync thingy last night. IDK if we'll bother again, it just kind of pops up questions after certain scenes asking if you agree/disagree with what a character said, asking what you think will happen next, etc. I had the laptop in front of me and we were watching the show live for once so we gave it a try, idk -
