  1. Same here. To be fair, my frames are pretty thick, so that probably has a lot to do with it, but the headset smashes them onto my face and it gets pretty uncomfortable quickly. I actually went ahead and got a new cheap pair from an online glasses shop with the intention of disassembling them and creating inserts for the OQ2 with a 3D printer. I love flicking ammo into my hand and dropping it over my shoulder. Virtual badass on the prowl.
  2. Finally jumped on board the VR train as well. Half Life Alyx is pretty nice, although it also caused me to put on contact lenses for the first time in years. Glasses plus VR is a tough nut.
  3. Finished 'Death's Door'. It does a lot of things really well, and wears it's influences on it's sleeve(Zelda, Ghibli, Dark Souls, etc.), but it's not quite a Zelda level experience. Also that shit needed an easy mode. I'm too old for cheap-shit bosses, and even after I beat it, what I felt was more a relief from annoyance than a sense of accomplishment.
  4. Yeah, I've kept it installed for another chance. I've played a bunch of visual novel stuff that I enjoyed, so the all dialog thing isn't really a problem. I guess I just need to sort out the systems in play during conversation. I finished Inscryption as well. 2/3rds of that one would be my game of the year. 1/3 goes on way too long for what it is. I still really enjoyed it though.
  5. I tried to play a few hours of that since it's so highly regarded, but I just found it to be really confusing. Every conversation was me just picking replies and experiencing random consequences. Maybe it gets much better later, but I haven't gone back.
  6. Pretty Thinginstrumental was really good. Would love to hear more of that.
  7. Lots of filter FM; twisted filter FM.
  8. Tried out Forza Horizon 5 on a whim since it was on the gamepass, and I don't think I've been this into a straight up racing game since the PS2. It looks great of course, but it also plays really well and constantly rewards you for doing literally anything. It's also relentlessly upbeat without a trace of irony, like some kind of afterlife where you just fuck around and race cars in Mexico all day.
  9. Got it from here: https://heinakroon.net/
  10. The Neutron is a genuinely great semi modular. That being said, I did get a different faceplate that wasn't as....red.
  11. Got into afx in 95, which makes this one one of the first 'new releases' I was able to pick up. It sounded so completely different from ICBYD that at first I really didn't like it. Now it's one of my absolute favorites, and is occasionally in the musical chair for all time favorite.
  12. Covered one of my favorite Bochum Welt tracks.
  13. In my experience, most stuff that's not in the major streaming services can be streamed from Bandcamp. That being said, if there was a 'streaming aggregator' type thing that would mix those services, Bandcamp, and my own stuff, I'd buy it in a second. Old school Google Music used to do something like that(minus the Bandcamp), but now I'll have to figure out Plex if I want to do any of that kind of thing.
  14. Big time agree, and especially for the shine spark sections. Running into a crouch doesn't feel like it's meant to be done with the analog stick.
  15. Saw Dune, and thought it was very good(though not quite great). It definitely took itself seriously, for better or worse, but I found the earnest tone sort of refreshing in the current sea of winky-joke Marvel shit in bigger budget movies. I've read the book a couple of times, and in comparison it seemed like the movie was rushing through characters and plot points, but it handled most of them pretty well. The visuals and sound design unsurprisingly the best parts. The acting was mostly fine(not great, not terrible). The music was my least favorite aspect (generic in places, and kind of silly in others). I hope they can get the 2nd part made.
  16. Missed this follow up. I'm gonna try to find these now. Thanks for making the effort.
  17. Finished Metroid Dread, and wound up getting 100 percent of the items. It's pretty great, and probably my 3rd favorite Metroid after Super and Prime 1. The controls and movement were excellent, although it took time to get used to all the buttons and powers. Boss fights felt impossible at points, but after awhile the patterns felt do-able.
  18. Picked this up on this recommendation, and the expanded stuff is fantastic.
  19. Shipping cost more than the record itself, but I'm not passing this one up.
  20. Huh, I had just picked up a TX81Z, and wasn't aware of that feature. That's pretty cool.
  21. I remember from the Autechre AMA that they couldn't say anything due to NDAs. My guess is they were to provide an OST and Nintendo stepped in and went another direction, but that's pure speculation. Maybe they did some sound effects as well? So far Metroid Dread is definitely a Metroid game. Although my favorite Metroid game in recent memory is almost certainly Returnal.
  22. Finished up DeathLoop, then went back and did some of the secret quests and stuff. Solid game, but you become overpowered very quickly, and the loot sort of becomes meaningless. Lost Judgement is pretty great so far, if you like Yakuza games. That being said, I think the only other type of games where people put up with this much content recycling is sports titles.
