  1. tears from the compound eye is about 1000x better than every track from TH. very simple, great sounds, emotionally moving, not a pastiche of john carpenter. all good things
  2. i'll let you in on a secret: the rlm guys don't really know what they're talking about. yeah duh but they were so enthusiastic i guess i was convinced. it was probably fun to watch with your friends you do a youtube thing with while drinking ipas from wisconsin. it was not fun to watch when you have the flu and youre cold and miserable in finland. mike's taste is even worse than nick mullen's and that is very hard to top
  3. true romance - i think i watched this in high school and thought it was cool. rewatched again and it kinda sucks, apart from gary oldman's 7 minutes as the wigger which are very entertaining. it is better than natural born killers however. sideways - pretty good. thomas haden church is funny because he talks like an idiot. wish upon - the RLM guys said this was worth watching because it was so bad but actually it wasn't entertaining at all and was just retarded and stupid. she's all that - fucking classic. "check out the bobos on superfreak" - paul walker RIP
  4. they just loosened beer restrictions here in Finland. Woohoo.
  5. one of my first "cool girl" crushes

  10. how recent I'm a big fan of almost all of their work, even the most recent stuff, IE Parastrophics, Spezmodia etc. Their most recent stuff (more dancefloor oriented) - I get how it could be off-putting compared to their more.. "serious"(? not sure that's the right term ? ) efforts, but I appreciate it for what it is. They've already made their mark so I think with those releases they're just having fun. Sometimes I need a release to throw on that's not chin stroking neck beardy idmz. 21 Again was pretty great too, don't think it got much attention. me too. i was just asking. 21 again was nice, a pleasant diversion, but had people like "a hawk and a hacksaw" on it. and even worse the guy said "im from a hawk and a hacksaw" on the dang recording. no twee shit in my mouse on mars please. WOW was cool and I saw them live around that time and it was so much fun. loved it. have not listened to anything since 21 again. i think i made it through spezmodia once but dont remember it so im looking forward to this new one!
  11. that music is way too inside contemporary rap music conventions to be even remotely original or interesting. Sorry.
  12. exactly. You shouldnt have to spell it out it should be obvious
  13. did the trip to spain in one sitting (the tv series not the film) the bowie "shall i follow rob brydon in my later years" was one of the funniest things ive seen in ages. coogan's john hurt impression floored me.
