Looks like a strange CD package. But just speculating; not sure I've ever seen one quite like that. You know, that could just be some marketing dude's mock-up of what the CD/vinyl will look like. I'm imagining Warp sending them promo images but not final product images and so they do up a graphic and fake what they expect the finished product to look like.

I was looking on Instagram last night and there's a fair amount of stuff under the #aphextwin tag. Lots of the stencils, some screenshots of the track list etc., but one thing that I hadn't seen before: a projection display in New York somewhere. As in, a huge Aphex 'A' logo/circle projected onto the side of a building. It looked like it might have been done by just amateurs, not anything official, but I wasn't sure. Anyone have info on that?

Sources? The last track will be pretty and there will be detuned synths and a weird voice or more because this is an Aphex Twin album. There is nothing but vague speculation as to the 1/3 album thing. Funsies

"Shooting a Shot on the Shooters" - In the Grindhouse/multiple-feature format, we see an obsessive film fan dig up bodies of dead directors and film himself seducing/fucking their corpses. Each scene is shot in the style of its respective director's style with homages and call-backs to their famous films! Each scene's climax is of course the climax of our film fan Freddie Fux all over the destroyed corpse of the director. Freddie Fux will be played by Billy Bob Thornton, who will improvise all dialogue and actions. Any corpses that cannot be obtained will be played by Madonna.

Still not getting this really. What is in fact a proper way to gauge people's feelings about the album then? Do take in mind the polls I created are advertised on bocpages.org too, so it's not like only people from twoism or watmm are voting. The idea was to capture what boc fans think of the new album. I am not trying to troll over here but really interested in knowing why a poll isn't reliable according to you guys. At the risk of dragging this out farther than is necessary, it's a bit silly is all. But again, my post was mostly in jest. Online polls are just silly fun, I get that. Nothing wrong with it. They only really serve to spark conversation on forums, social media outlets, etc. They're skewed and untrustworthy and often ridiculous and that's the point. I don't get why making a joke about something that's mostly a joke is worth debating. Move on people. How about this, I say Semena Mertvyhk is about ejaculate upon the ruins of a decimated nuclear blast site, and the track sucks: discuss.

Now that I can agree with. It's weird to me 'cause I've never really been a BOC fan before this album, so I went in with few preconceptions. Just heard good music that connected with me in ways that the other stuff of theirs never had. The pre-release stuff was fun to watch, but it didn't have the same hype-effect it did on many, I guess. There were plenty of comments earlier in this thread that seemed let down partly because the pre-release fun had gotten them so worked up. Poor folks, it's a solid alvum, but each to their own.

Well the world explored in Blade Runner is interesting. But, I'm not sure a sequel is really necessary or wanted by pretty much anyone except execs wanting cash. Also, Scott has implied or stated that Bladerunner and the Alien series exist in the same universe. But that could just be a crazy old man-ness coming out.

I'll post music here for my tsrono releases. In most or all cases this will be finished products, except for mastering, and so I'm not looking for help with direction of the songs or things like that, but I'll be welcoming any general comments you have.
