  1. The Lobster - Nice to see an absurdist sci-fi in cinemas! Afraid the casting slightly let it down for me - probably would have rather he kept this to Greece and had more 'un-knowns' playing the supporting cast -way too many recognisable B-list English actors, sort of cheapens it for me - also the general stilted and straight form of dialogue delivery got a little tiresome after a while which is something I probably wouldn't have picked up on as much had it been in subtitles...but still, overall fair play!
  2. ^^^ Yea - it felt like they just re-filmed paragraphs from a Wikipedia article
  3. quick beatstep Q: So it can do up to 3 sequences - 1 MIDI + 2 CV Within the MIDI, i don't suppose you can change the MIDI channel it's outputting to, so in theory connect it to a MIDI THRU box and control up to 16 bits of gear at once? (not outputting the same MIDI info, but independent note information in each channel?) ...a long shot...i know
  4. https://instagram.com/p/8BgCEzlAKX/ apologies for the silly instagram photo, purty' low res
  5. The Guest: Pretty decent fun, drags a tad' towards the end - but nice too see this type of film being made today. Quite T2 inspired. Teen Wolf: Wow, had no idea how poor this was going to be - genuinely a waste of time. I can imagine really enjoying it if it was lower budget and had gratuitous sex scenes and proper wolf-transformation scenes, but this is just absent of anything - made for the 'empty minded teen' audience? Dumb and Dumber To: Not sure if i already posted about this already - but was pleasantly surprised how sort of decent it was, all things considered, it was always going to be awful, but it just wasn't as bad as i had feared...they didn't fuck it up completely

  7. Thanks for the Brandon Graham recommendation - working my way through Multiple Warheads at the moment, really love the style! Just wish i had a larger tablet to enjoy it even more with. Jumping back and forth between that and Akira at the moment (colour version) Will check out King City afterwards (also, i'm sure everyone in this thread knows of it, but if not - Domu is highly recommended!)
  8. Cube Not sure why I put off watching this for so long, for some reason I thought it was really low-budget, but it's not - just a smaller budget put to good use! An entertaining and enthralling watch, nice bit'a sci-fi gore, cool concept, thumbs up all around. button sucking/10
  9. High Plains Drifter Cool bizarre western film - Clint gets up to some really questionable actions here, but is still the man, (or perhaps less of one?) Either way, it's pretty fun with some supernatural elements thrown in...has a really odd atmosphere throughout. Sweet cigars/10
  10. Nice wan! Thanks, checking these out now

  12. the beatstep pro can do that too So to confirm - The beatstep pro has 2 separate melodic sequencers, but in one single sequencer you can have it play 2x 8-step sequences - or you have to utilise both of the sequencers controlling the same synth to achieve the effect?
  13. mmmmmm mighty tempted indeed Really don't want to...but might just have to sell my Dark Time :( guess it would be silly to have both does anyone know if this has the feature of running two 8 step sequences at one time, thereby getting a slight poly sequence(or duo note sort of thing)? The Dark Time has this feature, and i thiiiink i remember someone saying the original beatstep had it? If so, i'm sold
  14. A Simple Plan Ooo'e - a forgotten gem? Perhaps! Very entertaining and engrossing story. 3 lads find 4+ mill in the middle of the woods...what do you do!? Great performances from Billy + Paxton. Thoroughly entertaining/10
  15. Aw yea The Congress has great surreal stuff, animation was bonkers cool. Pity it felt so empty and cold overall
  16. Arizona Dream Welp, that was one whacky film. Nice to see something as sureal and 'out-there' having such a large budget and cast of A-list actors. Lots of really cool things here, but sadly it just drags on way too long trying to structure a story in something that is inherantly trying to have no structure. Acting is top class, Vincent Gallo is purty' hilarious. But overall a missed chance at greatness. Faye Dunaway still got it/10
  17. Oh lawdie - that Rashad one has provided a friend and I many a laugh...man is so high, trying to fit that awful honky tonk piano bit into the song, hilarious I love watching all those vids previously posted, great things to toss on while eating a sandwich or something!
  18. Absolutely loving the style isumber Just finished that video i was posting about earlier, (shot with K40 Super-8, processed with Caffenol):
  19. Mad Max: Fury Road Dang, happy to call it a masterpiece. Non-stop awesome. No shame in the game. He did it RIGHT, son! 10/10
