Mineral Water

I am currently drinking mineral water, San Pellegrino to be exact, and am somewhat enjoying it. I had no clue why people liked mineral water because I always thought it was stupid, nasty and cost more than normal water. But now, I guess I can see why. Not really.

Do you drink it? If so, how often? If you don't, why not? What benefits does mineral water have? What are you favorite mineral waters?

what about that coke mineral water that turned out to just be normal tapwater in a fancy bottle. that was shit wasn't it.

Early advertisements referred to Dasani as "bottled spunk" or featured the tagline "can't live without spunk". "Spunk" is slang for semen in the UK.[5][6]

i usually drink it instead of soda. same kick without sugar or calories. i don't get what's nasty about it. and when i drink normal water i just drink tap through a brita filter. haven't had bottled in years.

They did testing on a few bottled water brands and found out that it is no better than new york city tap water. I use a brita purifier on my tap water and that is good enough for me. Mineral water is good though. I have always liked Perrier.

I'm from Ontario, and here we pretty much all drink tap water and bottled water and just generally non-fizzy water.

So, I was in Germany a while ago, and I ordered some plain water, and the waiter said to me "What? Plain water? You are not a plant; you're a man! You need bubbles!" Then he gave me fizzy water and charged me for it.

I drank beer mostly for the rest of the trip.

Amen.

This is the world we live in, where some of us would rather allow companies to continue polluting our water and instead pay for the privilege of drinking non-polluted water. How backwards have we become? Of course, the joke is that bottled water companies are actually under less government regulations than public water companies that require them to maintain a certain level of purity and can therefore be potentially worse than good, old fashioned, no bullshit, tap water.

Don't even get me started on the waste that all of those bottles produce, either.

schweppes mineral water in 1.25 litre bottles ... and constantly ... with or without some freshly squeezed lemon/lime juice added ... like that brand because i find that it a] comes properly carbonated and b] retains it's fizz even after multiple pourings and a couple of days in the fridge ... i'm sure there's better brands out there ... but hardly any that one could call more convenient ...

oh and i drink lots of spring water .. but that's bulk bought in 15 litres tubs(?)....
