Yes, they definetly can.

Be hawt, racialist, or both?

Lol, soem would call the race card on that last comment.

That's what pisses me off, it's a crime these days to be proud and white!

I see, so you can only feel proud about being white by calling other people by derogatory names.

To be fair, no one really uses the term 'paki' over here despite the plethora of fine pakistani peoples you will come across

No you penis, it's just everytime a white man walks around feeling proud of himself, someone will call him racist and tell him he's looking down on people.

In Croatia, Serbia and Bosnia, certain interest groups use media to create complex feelings

about one's sovereignty.it actually feels like being inside one big social experiment, or under mass hypnosis..

On a day to day basis, people of different nationalities communicate normally and tend to create

better life-contidions, but after constantly being fed with all kinds of BS through media,

they are easily triggered to do things they wouldn't even dream of.

kids learn through imitation from their parents and friends, so even negative emotions are copy-pasted.

For example, our president constantly babbles about anti-fascism and partisans even though WW2 ended more

than half a century ago! So instead of being constructive and present-oriented, he creates tensions between people and digs through painfull past.

yeah it really depends on how it's being used. for me, being racist means discriminating against a racial group in a negative way. if he said it in a derogatory way then fair enough, but if he was simply using it as a shortened way of saying that she is pakistani then i don't see the problem. it comes down to intention.

exactly, but you need to be careful about that at the same time. words like "paki" or "jap" are tied to times in history where racism was much more intense, or widespread. Thats the only reason people even use these words now, because they have heard them in the past and it is still imprinted on the language of the society because of a racist history. So no matter the intention, you need to be careful how you use them. I wouldn't call a black man a "negro", although it is not that bad of a word, it is tied to that history where racism was more obvious.

britain is horribly rascist when it comes to the word paki, it upsets me constantly. people ive been quite happily getting along with will suddenly drop the serious ''paki'' comment bomb when we walk around and i really dont know quite what to say.

Apparently the stigma ends when you falsely accuse others of racism, the problem is with these so called "anti-racism" organizations, because they live of donations they always need to make themselves feel valid so every little thing they jump on:

The rise in complaints comes as anti-fascist group Hope Not Hate called on the corporation to take action over the dancer's comments.

Curious like the racists, they always seem to pick on the easy targets, why don't these organizations go pick a fight with the neo-nazis for instance? It's amazing what pases for racism these days, look at this Swedish ice-cream called "Nogger Black":

It's not a crime to be white and proud. It's a crime to degrade or humiliate other people due to the colour of their skin.

well, according to the standard, there are only three races: Caucasian, Negroid, and Mongoloid form what I can remember...but there are tons and tons of ethnicity.

You're forgetting Australoid, but these terms are really old school, so no one really uses them anymore.

In the future there will be only 3 races: white, chinese and black (and when i say black i mean black as the night sky {that way none of the inbetween colours can get misinterpreted and people get accused of beind from countries they're not from, ie. cubans being accused of being mexican and aboriginies accused of being half samoan leading to outrageous offence and an impending media backlash})

Now fuck off and close thread.

fuck ethnicity. let's just, like, not have it. then no one would be racist.

ethnicity and race are different things, you are aware?

they're not really, one's just a subset of another.

library/school: try one out!

People of different races can be part of the same ethnic group. Anyways, the important thing to remember, is that race, like gender and so much else in this world that we use to separate ourselves as humans is a social construct.
