Something special about it to these ears, makes me happy and sad at the same time. The imagery of the lyrics is quite intense. Ben Folds is the obvious choice, but you've already got that one covered. Piano bands... drawing a blank... wtf! Tom Waits, but he's more a solo artist, just like the other two I mentioned.
