the ball works a lot better than the wii mote because it doesnt have to be pointing directly at the screen.

i wonder if this has a trigger button on the bottom. i heard nintendo patented it and isnt letting anyone else use similar ones.

i like the natal thing better. this isnt different enough from the wii remote to be interesting, its probably not going to go anywhere with developers.

If I want to play golf, tennis whatever sport I want to do it in real life, not spass out in front of a tv with a gay-ass dildo. This shit is not for me till they win me over with some incredible game.

Foosball?

It's competition.. how everything works.

I'll take the blu-ray game playing, firmware upgradeable, all in one, reliable and more powerful machine from Sony any day.

jesus you lot are such a bunch of whiney, moaning, never-satisfied-with-anything jerks.

I think it looks good and will bring a lot to the PS3 in terms of games your Mum can actually play etc..

ps, I don't really think you're all jerks. you do moan like fuck though.

Sony is teaming with Samsung to release the first 3d TVs this year.. hardly 'spineless', especially with the economy.

See, the whole "games your mum can actually play" was/is one of the reason the Wii sucks. The games were all gimmicky party crap and thats hardly what PS3 needs right now. I'm hoping some game developers will actually have the balls to make better use of these motion controls. for fucks sake, lets get some wing-commander shit going, or a FPS, or a sword-fighting game.

I think Natal (or whatever they end up calling it) will fail because people will not be able to get their heads around the lack of a device to hold and interact with - the Move and the Wii controller both work well because of the physical interaction.

The Move is and will be superior to the Wii controller since it's 1:1 movement, and has more sensors than the Wii controller does - not to mention Li-ion batteries that can be recharged and will last a lot longer than traditional AA batteries (rechargeable or not).

I don't think Sony will focus that much on "family friendly" games for this - they've already got some big name IPs working with this (SOCOM 4 (fps), Little Big Planet (action/platforming), Resident Evil (fps/action), Tiger Woods Golf (sports), etc.), and coupled with 3D, is going to provide a very immersive experience and HD graphics the Wii lacked (and why no "real" games on the Wii ever effectively utilized this kind of tech). Add to the fact the subcontroller (aka the nunchuck) isn't wired to the main Move controller, and contains as many sensors in it as the main unit, will make for (I think) a overall better experience.
