i love this track (and nothing else from that album really)... what's some other similar stuff? where the lyrics/flow is kind of obtuse weird and syncopated but not pretentious... and the beats aren't too "backpack".

well if you're looking for similar stuff from doseone, I would check out the first themselves album as well as dose's solo album hemispheres. also deep puddle dynamics - the taste of rain...why kneel.

Six, have you heard the "Quinton's Here" EP? It was released on the heels of BRTTPC and features J-Swift old school production values. Iconic weed-dealer Quinton raps his way through 2 ill tracks and is bound by 2 instrumental sketches. It is dope.

It's impossible to actual pick a favorite hip hop album.

But if I had to, I guess i might have to pick...

Snoop Doggy Dog's "Doggystyle"

It's just an amazing Hip Hop album, every song is just awesome.

No need to skip any tracks while listening to this CD.

Too bad it's the only really good album from Snoop Dogg.

yeah actually now that I think about it I spend a large amount of time listening to dr. octagonecologyst. it's pretty subversive as a hip hop album though, it's not the first thing I think of when I hear "rap" or "hip hop" but it's probably my second favourite rap album.

unseen is still 100% my top though, and probably my second or third favourite album in any genre. the amount of effort put into that album is insane, I'm always hearing new things in it.

It really warms my heart when I read posts like this one.
