I don't listen to most of the rap that's coming out these days. but i've got a few that i love. q-tip, mos def, and snood dog - with each of them, it's the flow that gets me. but the best rap album ever has got to be Mos Def's Black On Both Sides...it's funky and smart...jesus proclaim it a masterpiece.
