Still love it, Burial is the nuts. I just wish shitty old Kode9 would get off his coat tails

8 Bit Boy's 'simple' remix of Archangel is a nice only-slightly-changed dancefloor version

I prefer the Phaseone remix. But original is best (obv).

yes i know. and that is probably one of the few that he did.

with the amount of popularity that he has he could be a superstar now. but no, he is very low profile.

While we're at it I found this on palmsoutsound once and it's pretty cool but it does get a little bit jittery about half way through and never really recovers its composure

Burial's music does make me feel better when I am down, happy music tends to make me more sad/irritate me....make sense?

Depressing music (if you want to call it that) usually is very elegant and beautiful. I don't go home to a dark room and listen to it and block the sun out, but I think depressing music has an extra dimension to it that other music doesn't. I actually find this music can be uplifting.

Just like most blokes I like jogging around the bbq in summer, wearing bermuda shorts, showering my guests with beer and doing high fives while the Beach Boys Sloop John B, Jerry Lee Lewis Great Balls of Fire and Bryan Adams Summer of 69 plays in the background.

But I appreciate my elegiac darkness too. It's another mind-string to my bow, and one I am grateful for.

Untrue was a lot lighter than the s/t, that's for sure. I guess bleak would be the correct term to use? Or maybe hopeless

welp it's all context, untrue reminds me of a bad breakup so it's sometimes tough listening for me depending on my mood.

s/t seems to still be in the thick of it; untrue is the melancholy comedown. both have so much personal significance for me. i wish i could hear them with fresh ears again.

yeah, because the best way to appreciate burial is to reduce him to a specific genre's history
