Thinking about it, well done to those kids for quickly comparing his window-smash-walk to The Terminator. I wouldn't have thought of that and I'm older and more in-tune with 80's action films than them.

lol wut? I'm not the best at interpreting raging brittish accents, what exactly was he/she/it so damn pissed about?

The black people on the bus had decided to make the back half of it a private bus for select members of Peckham.

What fascinates me about this clip to no end is how even when he/she/it got up in their faces about whatever the problem was, there was no ass (arse) whooping - on either party's part. Here in the states, that thing would be lying in a pool of it's own blood and probably wouldn't have made it off the bus alive.

Also, why's the conductor just sitting there? Why didn't he start the bus up and go on?

It's not always the case, the bus was almost empty which makes me think it could have happened on Sunday morning or in the middle of a week day. Arguments between black/white always turn into a race thing in London, and it doesn't always end up nicely. Peckham is such a shithole.

I was kinda wondering about that too... around here that guy would have got stomped before it escalated that far. Also as for the driver's reaction , maybe they don't have that over there but round here, fights and outbursts on the bus or train like that get stopped pretty quickly. The downtown areas have transit police that are like a sub-division of the actual Minneapolis PD, they don't give a fuck what the issue is, if the driver were to call a disturbance, and pull over the transit cops would be there very quickly and have the guy out the door face down on the sidewalk in a pair of cuffs, and most likely maced if he didn't stfu. They're known to act first and ask later. Seen it myself many times when I used to ride the bus daily.

Drivers have an alarm. Protocol is power down the bus, do fuck all whatever the situation is and wait for the police to turn up. It's quite a regular occurence on a night bus that if trouble flares up the driver just stops and turns the engine off until either the police turn up or somebody hoys the troublemaker off.

Most of the people on the bus are old women and kids. Also the buses have cctv, so if you're going to clout someone you've a got to make sure you're got good reason.

I made a comment on here once about my idea of happiness being Peckham + silenced MP5 + 5,000 rounds of ammo. Now you know why.

In the UK they just let the fights play out cos the buses have CCTV on and they'll get the police involve afterwards. Unfortunately we live in a world where everyones attitude is to step back and let someone else deal with it.

Ah, so the prevalence of CCTV is probably why they didn't stomp that weirdo, nor did he hit them, for all his ranting, and why the conductor just sat there (probably thinking "I'm still getting my 10 quid 50, so what do I care?")

yeah absolutely. as has already been said, standard procedure in this kind of situation is for them to just stop the bus, let people get off and wait for the police.

and again, as someone else has already said - people don't intervene anymore for whatever reason...fear of repercussions, etc.

still funny as fuck though.
