wasn't 2-step just another name for dubstep when the term dubstep hadn't been coined yet tho?

no. although dubstep evolved from a particular type of 2-step (and usually the b-sides, which had instrumental or dub versions of the a-side which often had a female vocal).

good compilation

good mix

I just remember record stores referring to the music as 2step/dubstep/grime before there being an accepted term for it all, they also tossed in ragga-dancehall every now and then. if the distinction was clear by then then it wall all certainly part of the same scene.

yeah and the "standard" dubstep beat (which I don't hear so often anymore so it's no longer standard i guess) is a variation of it. anyway this is a tedious argument I don't want to get into I'll just take your word for it.

How the hell do you come across this? Theres allways a guy that comes around and posts a video saying he's pretty sure theres something on it, and it is. I mean its a 15years old movie, what are the odds? Who are you? :squarepusher::fear:

on 3rd listen i am slightly concerned that all the major vinyl burbles etc might just be in there to extend what should be 5min max tracks into 10min pieces.

what i mean is that they don't always fit. its clearly just a fat burble and not related to the other sounds happening (the music is not effected by the burbling (the music was not put on vinyl and then distressed and recorded))
