I named myself Aerphax during the conversion of communication back in the early start of the 1990's (approximately 1993) were emails replaced faxes and were received through cables /air. Therefore I came up with a hybrid of the terms AIR and FAX and spelled it differently. The name "Aerphax" describes my generation well (I'm from 1974). We have experienced the transformation of primitive electronic communication options to numerous and endless options. Therefore AERPHAX it is. So I should then leave - like other users a ton of numerous "great" and "that's awesome" etc. to gain indifferent statistics. It's not my style. I just share all my music for free and downloadable. It's about quality and not quantity if the outcome of the rules are to generate a lot of useless comments, then it's irrelevant to post here. I rather have 16 posts and 12 topics than 365489 posts of "great" and "that's awesome". It seems like there's an agenda of focusing more on profile optimization / appearance than deliver content. I used to get snooty and sarcastic with people on here too when I was a noob, many years ago... Play by the rules aerphax. The point of YLC is not to just be another spot on your list of websites, that you tick off as you do the rounds spamming your tracks. It's point is far from that of a static bulletin board. So if you don't want to see it the way already described by squee, well that's fine, but accept that your threads won't be welcome, no matter the quality or lack there of of your music. Cheers. Besides the music is free. I just point out that I rather post rare and content oriented rather concerning how many posts I've created. It's not something I care about personally. I'm able to listen to music without posting every single time. I just share my audio and then I'm glad if someone likes it. But primly I do music for creating universes for myself. I don't care about having 5000 posts. If I should do so, then I don't have time for making music :) "We are the music makers" should not be a conversation about "We are the post-in-forum makers". You give some and then you get some. Those are the rules. It has nothing to do with how many posts you've got. I was merely pointing out that you had created 12 topics and posted 16 posts which makes it obvious that you haven't given any feedback to anyone at all. The point of this subfourm it was decided long ago in the interests of everyone that posts in it, and because it was somewhat polluted by people posting music but by not so many actually replying about other peoples music, that to be able to post music here you had to take an active interest in listening to and commenting on other people's music that was posted here. And not with just simple one word affirmations either (as you suggested). This set the framework for behaviour on this subforum, and whatever your thoughts on this policy are, i think that you should respect what has been decided about this place, and either conform to it or don't post here. thanks.
