I love it! Very peaceful. Yeah. Lush Pads too, the detune works wonders! No qualms here. Happy ambient is my favorite ambient stuff. I don't know why Dark Ambient is considered a genre when there so much happier ambient stuff around as well.

Lush pads indeed! The 303ish bass synth creates a somewhat awkward juxtaposition at times but that is part of what makes this a unique piece. Would be nice to hear some kind of reverb modulation building up on the bass synth over the duration of the piece as though it were moving away from us, or the space in which the music is happening is increasing in size. Also, liking the inclusion of field-recordings and wouldn't mind hearing more of them subtly squeezed in there :)

Yeh I'd thought of doing that with the verb, I recorded in a rush to hit the Sunday evening soundcloud rush. It's going on an e.p. so I'll probably have a tiny bit more of a play before I send it off.

Ambient tracks rarely blow me away like this one did. Excellent pads, and that bassline is seriously, SERIOUSLY wonderful. It seems so simple and I can't figure out why I'm enjoying this so much, but you did a damn fine job. Excellent work, keep making music please.

Do you have any albums of stuff like this? If you had albums like this, I would so listen to those albums.

Totally agree with you man. Its relatively easy to make dark and spooky ambient, much harder to make happy yet un-cheesy ambient

Cheers for the feedback, I stuck in some more found sounds and fiddled with the reverb over time. I've just had the masters back off my man and it's hopefully going to the cd press later this month.

This had more drums though, I've never gone full ambient in public before, maybe I should give it a go though.
