I thought the picture was in perspective of looking up a flight of steps...but I looked closer to find he was sitting at the bottom and I was above him. I have also concluded that: ^This man is running down the same flight of stairs to mangle him.

squarepusher What Squarepusher tracks could work in a movie? 1 2

I think tetra-synch would be nasty in a movie if done right. I think most of toms tracks, like most artists on this forum would be hard to be put into a movie.

It's hard to say, since I don't listen to jazz/fusion but my 11yrs education in classical music tells me that those harmoines are basically jazz harmonies. Our solfeggio teacher/composer told us that major harmonies shifts in jazz are made with septacords following II. - V., I. -IV., VII. -III.(etc.) degrees in any diatonic scale (western music tradition scales, ex. d-minor). figure out those shifts and you should be able to play in any scale on top of that.

Is an absolute head banger! Those kicking bass lines at the beginning are sick. And crazy programing galore afterwards. My favorite HE track fo sure.

So what does the guy say in the middle of this track? I think I hear, "You're about to appreciate the psychology of an insurance broker," somewhere in there, but I'm not sure.

..and I like it. (I know many would disagree with this opinion, maybe I just have bad taste? ) Anyway, now that I've decided I like Squarepusher, I would like your help to know the next one I should buy. Hello Everything is a laid back album, but if he has other things less laid back and more experimental/harsh that would be fine, I like Aphex Twin and Autechre's wild stuff so it wouldn't be a problem! Thanks for your input.

squarepusher Squarepusher. Saturday night

Im surprised more people arnt getting excited about SP playing London on Saturday night, hes only done one non festival gig all year and that was a short 40 mins set. I got my ticket today, my single ticket because I cant get anyone else to go with. So if you see a slightly balding middle aged man on his own, stop and have a chat and a drink to get me through the Shut Up and Dance set. After Glade last week im so looking forward to this.

the best squarepusher tracks are like superfluid tonal conjectures and proofs. they are bursting synthetic hyper-realizations, pushing harshly into corridors of hard-fought bass and snare syncretisms. they are 6 squarewaves pressing against 17 sine waves, resulting in alklanine hypercomplexes of hypernuanced ultraelite audio hyperepiphanies antidemeta
