Hahah! I swear this bitch has it out for me every time I end up in her line. I don't know what I did, but she's holding onto it with all her check-out clerk angst. One time I brought my own plastic bags instead of economy ones, since I didn't have any on hand, and she's all like "excuse me, I'm not touching these, you need to do it," as if I urinate in my plastic bags but never in the economy ones. I don't think I've been somewhere where the cashier packs the bags for you. I'm usually quite capable anyhow. all the stores where I live pack em'. And in most chains they have someone take them to your car for you. But I don't like it. Like you, I'm fully capable.

What's wrong with norwegian wood? It's an awesome book. I really wish I could find the first two books of "the trilogy of the rat". If you don't like what you're studying, why are you studying it? That doesn't make sense. I think it is serious history, but like everything that's ever been written, it's a product of personal circumstance, it's subject to personal context. And when you're an actor in the events you write about (author was born to working class European immigrants and was WWII combatant), there's no way you can ever produce something impartial, detached or objective, doubly so when you're looking for 'grand narratives' such as the one contained herein. But that said, it's good history. It's an influential book and I think most people could do a lot worse than reading it. I think there are too many mis-characterisations, and too much of his personal politics in it to be taken as a serious history. I do think people should read it, if only to make them think differently about narratives and hegemony. Just because something is taxing/difficult/stressful doesn't mean I don't like it. Not to mention I like money. Even if I didn't like what I was studying at least the end result is money. People face tradeoffs, many trade-off enjoyment for financial success. That makes sense to me Mr Chengodboss =)

for what it's worth, don't worry about it, man. no clue what was up in the recent pics thread, but don't let it get to you. people are insecure and take shit out on the internet for no good reason. Thanks! I won't worry about it anymore. It's just frustrating sometimes, I expected to have some good conversations joining here but it's been like 10% interesting/informative, 90% seems like a bunch of 15 year olds or something! Lesson learned though. I won't let it get to me again.

I also think Hospitality is often overlooked. Some of his best work on there IMO.

off HCCBU I was more partial to bezcitny and bent annick. Some of my favorite v snares for sure. I really think this particular style is some of his best work, circa winter in the belly of a snake, HCCBU, etc. I would like to see a kind of combination of the crazy glitchcore mixed with some of his other styles though, I think that would be epic.

that's great... I am really impressed by Obama. I can't believe what a shit show the recent presidential race has been, the candidates are all fucking insane IMO (other than Obama). If you don't mind me saying, American politics, at least as displayed in the popular media, is just a fucking circus now.. It's scary :(
