  1. obviously you don't know shit about chairs.
  2. really wanted to play that, exclusives are a pain in the dick.
  3. downloaded fortnite, played a few games. 90 percent running inland, 10 percent missing people then getting killed, then waiting 8 minutes to get back in the game. its not for me.
  4. id probably just watch a puddle or sit in the dark on acid tbh.
  5. books are better for sci-fi i think. using your imagination is 1000% more effective than any FX budget.
  6. yeah i saw a witcher 3 one pop up the other day. completely and utterly pointless game to speedrun.
  7. watched it today, it was ok. im a bit jaded with walking into unexplained alien spheres of influence stories but enjoyed it none-the-less. i tried to find the book today but couldnt remember the authors name and didnt really fancy speaking to the fat nerd in waterstones. actually the last time i bought something in waterstones this guy did something hilarious, as he was waiting for the card machine to accept payment, he opened a bottle of water with like 400ml left in it, tipped it right back and slowly chugged the whole thing right in front of me, and had to say thanks and goodbye panting from fat person over-exertion and dribbling water droplets down his chest. great stuff. really awkward.
  8. anyway i dont really enjoy horror films any more because they tend to trigger my anxiety, but im looking forward to checking out the book. i had noticed it in the bookshop but picked up something else instead.
  9. story is the most important thing for me. although il take a book over a film 19 times out of 20. still, story all the way.
  10. the digitone looks right up my street actually. are those one track jams one track out of a possible 8?
  11. back in my heavy boozing fun days, i would start a night out after work with 4-5 shots of absinthe, then move to beer. gives you an awesome, uplifting buzz, like a pleasant pre-bev condensed into 20 minutes before you go to a club.
  12. im about 40 hours into New game plus on the witcher 3 after leaving it for 18 months. playing on blood and broken bones mode, which means you really have to spend time getting to grips with crafting decent oils and decoctions etc. truely a 10/10 game, so good.
  13. i love watching a peep show segment in the morning before i go to work. the irate inner monologue just from the mention of Elbow gets me every time.
  14. we are travelling through what you can kind of think of as still space at over 1 million miles an hour. thats pretty fucking mental. imagine if some kind of quantum accident happened where the earth became trapped by the dimensions within a vacuum and the earth just stopped dead from a speed of 1 million miles an hour.
  15. so i went for Push2. really nice bit of kit. even just the ease with which you can add XY controllers and midi assign external VSTs is already making me seriously happy. i havent actually digged into the manual yet, is there a way to set it up so you can have four separate MIDI channels being triggered by a quarter of the pad each? so i can live create drum triggers for my modular on the fly?
  16. i cannot lie horizontally without falling asleep. unless its late at night and i have work early the next morning.
  17. yeah ive been wanting something more advanced than the crappy akai thing ive got for ableton for a while. i use ableton for every aspect of tune making, i dont do live stuff atall. i make most of my pads in absynth or operator then process it through my effect modules. although i did just see a rytm 1 for 670 euros on FB. 590gbp seems like a great price, were they not 1000 new?
  18. yeah ive already got a tonne of modular, that where all the money came from, cleaning up a bunch of stuff im not really using or have gotten bored with. i think im gonna go for the modular drum route, the more i read about the elektron it seems like it will be limiting compared to Push + modules. i would have gone for the mk2 for the sampling capability yeah. the varigate 8+ looks powerful enough to trigger all my envelopes + oscillators along with drums aswell.
  19. i had a spring clean of bits and pieces i no longer need and now have 1900 to spend on something drummy. considering a Rytm mk2 but it just seems so expensive. im kind of leaning towards ableton push 2, an ssf entity bassdrum, a noise engineering basilimus iterus, a moog drummer from another mother, and a varigate 8+ instead. think you could get some real twisted shit with that setup.
  20. i use this badboy. 8gb, 15.99 when i got it. you can only scroll through tracks one at a time, you cant see the track titles, you cant choose the order of the albums, you cant shuffle, you cant see how long a tune is. i love it. interestingly having no idea what you are actually listening to has really helped me get to know my new music much better.
  21. ive amassed another 180 in the last 400 days.
  22. i gave 600 books to charity last time i moved because i was fed up of lugging 15 binbags of books up 3 flights of stairs every year.
  23. i imagine most people who inherit multi-million dollar fortunes find it very easy to love themselves.
