Listened to the 'i hope you like the universe' release at work today and really liked it. at times i zoned out but never wanted to turn it off, i like being able to focus in and out of releases like this. loved the field recordings and the way the textures blended.

I also like that quote and found that latest interview really helpful, actually. It definitely aided in my enjoyment of the record(s) even though I would have enjoyed them regardless. I liked the idea that they have created a digital world with programmed chaos. I favour fortuity in my own work and love the idea of creating a space for elements to interact, observing that reaction, learning from it (expanding your own creativity) and rearranging the outcomes how you see fit (or just leaving it). From here they could expand on the world making it more complex and add more what ifs. That interview helped me the beauty and humanity in the sometimes chaotic and beautiful computer music. I want to recut the latest James Ferraro video with ae over top. I could see different audio elements applied to each UPC walking around, glitching out. Pause this and listen to foldfree casual

Same here, it is actually my fav track on this album. I picked up the 12" of Make a Livin' and was then hugely disappointed with this album. -

I was having the same issue, does it crackle? i had my record player fixed and it was the cable, the connection from the player was arsed. hm, didn't think it could be the cables, good call. Whole setup is "vintage" aka old as fuck, will have to troubleshoot. I'm kinda scared to though, as a number of weeks ago I plugged in an old FM radio and the cable fuckin exploded with the loudest BANG and all the lights in the house went out, gave me a heart attack. That + ignorance about electric stuff makes me scared of tinkering with cables and current good lord, that is beyond me but my setup is vintage too. didn't occur to me that the cables could be the issue but both the receiver and turntable are older than i am maybe. you may be missing a ground wire? the bang is concerning

Parkitect is like an updated Roller Coaster Tycoon 2. the art style isn't as charming and it isn't as detailed yet but its fun. not as difficult as RCT2 but it fills the void.

Probably needs more of a proper listen than a couple streams but I found it a tad boring. The Kuang EP on the other hand has Mimas Skank which is incredible. Got a bit of a Deadbeat feel to it, Roots and Wire style.
