  1. Flipping through my grabs from the Syrobonkers interview tracks, and it isn't in what I have! Must've slipped past my eye somehow.. all the others are there, though! there was also the avril 14th midi reversed (i.e. still played on the disklavier, just with the notes reversed, not the audio), did you hear that one?
  2. sure, just pointing out that this was already put out ages ago, and so not likely an indication of anything re drukqsy stuff.
  3. No, this was before the soundcloud account, when Syro came out he did an interview and released a bunch of tracks (noodlings and other bits and bobs, including this and the vocal version of Rhubarb). All of that was mostly post-Drukqs as well.
  4. the new movies were good man, i liked them...bit of chris pine and that other guy. excellent. they were ok as bog standard sci fi action movies, they were shit as star trek films though.
  5. he put this out with the syrobonkers stuff already.

yeah, nearly finished Krakow now, cool how different it is. A lot funkier towards the end there. I love how in both of the ones I've listened to so far it constantly hints at the familiar, in between interludes of the totally alien, but even the familiar is imbued with a sinister alien quality.

Listening to Dublin again now, listening on my monitors is making a massive difference, were pretty shitty speakers before. Wonderful stuff, love the space in the tracks, easy to concentrate on a couple of the elements and really focus in on them, a lot of their recent output has been a bit too dense at times for me.
  9. that was a very strange film, hard to know what to make of it. I think I may have been very drunk when I watched it though, not sure that helped. Michael Shannon is always a very strong presence on-screen at least.
  10. San Andreas - probably the best earthquake film about boobs ever made.

listened to Dublin last night when going to bed, so not the most concentrated listening, but first impressions mixed. starts off quite incoherent, but when it did coalesce into something more structured it was pretty great. will definitely need some more proper listens though.
  12. The Gift very good, great acting, original script, atmosphere, tightly if unambitiously directed.
  13. Fantastic Four - not sure what all the fuss was about here, not saying it was a great film or anything, but it's no worse than most of the other superhero nonsense that's out there. in fact, the first hour or so was actually pretty good, the ending was pretty rushed and unsatisfying though.
  14. I think Jev finally googled 'dj tool', and is now embarrassed.
  15. the only thing that could feasibly allow him to escape that situation would be the zombies to be distracted by a loud noise, and have him rescued by someone. hiding under a pile of yer man's guts wouldn't cut it.
  16. some of the people are actors, some are genuinely clueless as to what's going on.
  17. 2nd episode of Fargo was good, nice tension building. music and editing were great.
  18. I think he just cut his hand on the knife that was sticking out of that one zombie's back.
  19. not humanely possible, you mean the volume levels would need to be so high as to cause hearing loss?
