    it is. when i read it i thought the title story was the weakest of the bunch. I was a DFW junky and i guess i still am. i reread all his stuff when he died which was heavy at times. i should reread the Lobster book. 'Oblivion' is some massive heavy feels. it's the big sad IDM of books in hindsight. there's something about how he hyper considered everything from a thousand different angles. a big honeycomb of thought. my current fwp is not being able to figure out which modular jam to edit. distill it down to the good bits. ?

    i was mostly relishing in the opportunity to link that DFW review. When i got that book, "Consider the Lobster", i'd assumed that review would be one boring read but it's actually a real fun page turner that blew my mind.

    i use the passive coleman one.. that's cheap and clean and balanced. https://www.sweetwater.com/store/detail/LS3--coleman-audio-ls3-line-selector i use it for adding/removing the sub when working on stuff. out put of my monitor controller goes into the coleman.. then outs of the coleman go to the monitors and the sub. TRS into the switch then TRS -> XLR to everything.

    Noah Hawley is doing the Alien series.. he did fargo and Legion (legion is weirdly awesome) I finally saw Alien Covenant... it was a good pandemic movie. i mean.. some good bits but again shit the bed w/the script. such dumb unrealistic science stuff and characters so dumb. I like catherine waterson though.. long neck and all.. She's a great hippie weirdo in Inherent Vice which i've rewatched a couple of times and loved more each time. amazing story and juaquin phoenix is amazing in it. Covenant.. jesus.. "hey big idea.. let's go down to the totally alien planet no one's ever been to and not wear full protocol hazmat level space suit shit.. and we'll romp around in the mud and stuff.. let's also not do a few fly bys at different times of day and scan for life forms and take pictures for recon.. and i think when down there' i'm gonna go for a swim and maybe step on magic mystery spores.. why not.. sounds like fun.. what could go wrong??" awesome.. we have a plan then. sweet.

    ae ep - pre - late 2021 - tour buzz generator. something from aphex.. full length lp perhaps would love an exm release ep or full length a new Phoenecia release would be great. 2021 will be 10 years since the last one (demissions) which seems the amount of time between albums for them.

    Game of Thrones season 9 i read that she's re-recording the old stuff because she doesn't own the masters and they were sold to some asshole or something. it was one of those music industry copyright focused things about how masters get bundled up and sold so they can be used to generate revenue for the rights holder. shady shit. i guess some less than awesome person had acquired her masters and flipped them for big dollars. the only way she can own those songs is to re-record them or something. loopholes exist i guess.
