His impulse control certainly leaves a lot to be desired. Seriously though, what a shitshow. That was a low point for TV as much as for democracy.

Jesus, what the hell was that? I'm all for open discourse, but there were several moments when they seriously should have just turned Trump's mic off. Biden was pretty weak too; the last thing you want to do is let the big bully make you play on his terms. You need to smother him with facts. But Biden did not even really use Trump's completely messing up the Covid situation to his advantage, instead resorting to template statements, laughing, shaking his head in disbelief and calling him a clown. You can't take the high road with this guy, you have to stay calm and confront him with the reality, with actual numbers. But the problem with Biden is that he has no presence; it too often felt like he was muttering to himself, and then his appeals to the viewers felt stilted. But yeah, the moderation should have stopped Trump's constant heckling for good early on. That was not only ungraceful or "unpresidential", but unacceptable behavior. "I'm the one that brought football back." Donald J. Trump, President of the United States of America.

There are also two new releases (both of 'em 4×12'' whoppers) coming out mid-October under DJ Metatron/The Phantasy aliases via All Possible Worlds. Naturally, both are sold out already.

Which doesn't really contradict the fact that there's "lots of white men here". Just sayin'.

I saw that the day it came out on Netflix and have been thinking about it a lot since then. It's mostly tech-savants talking about the monster they've created and now cam't control anymore, and it's great, and it's scary af. Key line: "If the product is free, then you are the product" (or something to that effect). Viva Jaron Lanier! The docutainment-style dramatizations with good ol' Pete from Mad Men as three different kinds of AI or whatever were a bit cringeworthy, but they managed to get the point across. Very very creepy stuff, especially if you have kids. Highly recommended!
