  1. I would assume there is a Russian/middle east connection there. and if it's being reported on, then that must mean these loans are documented somewhere and not just IOU's and handshakes with Vlad and the gang. suppose that is part of the Deutsche bank mystery? I wonder how much he owes under the table to these and other groups.
  2. part of JR's plan to boomerfy the site for the 40+ crowd. make it more visually accessible for all our ageing eyeballs
  3. well sure, there's that angle. I suppose I was just naively thinking out loud why everything always has to be such a chest thumping contest with the R's. Donald picking this judge is first and foremost pure spectacle, what he lives for. piss off snowflakes & Dems, rile up the base. second on his mind is she'll be on his team, will do him a solid down the road when it's time to charge him with something. The senate R's must surely get this, but are so far mentally gone that Donald's logic passes muster with them. they are enabling a mentally unstable delusional person, instead of pausing to ask questions. it's shared insanity. Folie a deux (great x-files episode btw, strong parallels to all this - a giant cockroach/insect disguises itself as a human, who has the ability to turn people into zombies that obey it).
  4. this is just further proof that the part of the brain in which all rational thinking occurs is completely turned off in all R senators...it is purely animalistic shirts vs. skins, us vs. them, with no one stopping to ask why...like a bunch of dogs whipped up into a frenzy, coke heads being taunted with an eightball, none of them are thinking rationally...they are only interested in what stupid fucking nonsensical task their shit for brains owner has dropped in front of them... I hate always siding with the Dems, because I try and remain as impartial as possible when it comes to politics, but jesus fucking christ the Republicans have turned themselves into the perpetual "bad guys" in every way possible. How can anyone in their right mind agree that the way they are acting is in someway beneficial for the majority of the people that will feel the effects of their close minded, self congratulatory decisions?
  5. and here I was hoping he would go with a wild card pick and nominate Judge Judy for the seat
  6. please tell me you just did something to remove it and I'm not imagining it was just recently there...
  7. just wanted to let you know that I'm in the "don't like it" camp. I feel it breaks up the flow of the posts with info I'm not interested in knowing about. also is the "who read this topic" blue link new? maybe I missed this being discussed earlier.
  8. I've never listened to his music before, definitely not what I was expecting when I saw his name here... but hey, I like a lot of '70s americana/folk albums, and this sounds like it could've come from that era.
  9. yeah I suppose Nero would be a close fit to what I was thinking. or probably any dictator's life story would fit with the "mad king with a peasant army" thing. and if we are watching a modern day Nero story, then the next act in the play should be donnie setting fire to the white house and blaming the dems for it.
  10. is there another example in history / literature / media where a rich, completely out of touch, born with a silver spoon up his ass king surrounds himself with an army of lower class peasants, and tricks them into doing his bidding and believing that he is some sort of god level deity? I could've sworn I've read this type of story before...or maybe seen it in a TV show. The Island of Dr. Moreau is a close one, but there's got to be something better than that.
  11. great track! definitely the sort of thing I would be dancing to at a club. that is, if I still went to clubs. now it'd just be me, a bottle of something, and dancing around the living room drunk and alone...sad lol
  12. I love doing blow then posting a million things on watmm
  13. I went to Lawrence once...some club/bar called Jake's or abe's I think...maybe next to some river? Suppose I could google it. Saw DJ Krush play there back in like '03
  14. @Joyrex, I mentioned pre-2005 watmm earlier and that got me thinking...do you have any of the old forum content stored anywhere? Like some old hard drive or something? I know it was mostly mspaint stuff and tranny pics back then, but I do remember some moments of brilliance amidst the poop threads. Kinda like how you look at your old school papers hidden away in the closet/attic/garage every 10 years or so and you're like reminded of your old self or something...I'd be interested in seeing some of that if it still exists
  15. Oh man...that brings me back. Was the same way back in texas in the '90s. I can't remember ever getting kicked out of a shop for saying "bong", but it definitely was this weird hush hush thing that if you said it, they'd quickly correct you and say "you mean water pipe, right?"
  16. I'm having watmm flashbacks...isn't the new classic theme color scheme the same as the one the forum used to have pre-2005 crash? looks very similar to 2004ish watmm...although I have no idea how I would remember such a thing...funny how the brain works sometimes
  17. what I don't understand is why donnie isn't pushing for one of the trashy jerry springer-esque daytime tv judges? seems they're of his ilk. celebrity judges, like judge judy or that fiery latina (pierro?), are much more a fit in the current political landscape than an *actual* judge. and why we're at it, why the hell hasn't he fired most of congress and replaced them with hookers and strippers? why are we starring at old dustbags when we could be looking at t&a? turtle man vs. tits. c'mon donnie, get your shit together.
  18. lawyers lawyering up in preparation for the 2020 shit storm event: https://www.npr.org/2020/09/22/914431067/step-aside-election-2000-this-years-election-may-be-the-most-litigated-yet this sounds highly unlikely, knowing the calm, rational thinking processes we know our great president is known for: and thank goodness that thanks to the 'publicans, we're going to have nice people bringing warm, supportive vibes as we wait in line on election night: can't wait to see all the kind trump supporters peacefully waiving their weapons around on election night!
  19. recently I got a handwritten letter in the mail, as in someone actually sat down and used a pen on paper and wrote a legit letter. turns out it was from a jehovah's witness lady who was rambling on about the real reason why covid actually appeared in the world, and directed me to a JW website to learn more. I'm like what's the point of writing a letter telling me to go to a website? why not just tell me the whole shebang right then and there?
  20. this is the part in the film where sympathy cards and tiny violins come raining down upon our hero, a la being john malkovich/michel gondry style. cut scene where donald hears distant applause, filtered through running water symbolizing tears. blank skin faces wearing red hats appear in unfocused frame. "is the nightmare ending," he says aloud, before catching site of a dark skinned kenyan trickster in the audience, heckling him non-stop. the gullible, pudgy, white faces slowly come back into frame, with a roaring "fill that seat" crescendoing into the inner wheel of his mind... our hero now knows what he was put upon the golden dictator chic, fresco styled-ceiling, crumbling casino loving 'merica to do. over the shoulder shaky cam now from behind as he approaches the podium, looks upon the crowd and hears vladimir putin in his earpiece, whispering instructions for what he must do next...
  21. you're working on a cruise ship, right? must be like summer camp...every night line up for the buffet, never have to cook or clean. or maybe it's like prison lol
  22. I've been saying something similar to that for years - the constant media/press coverage of every stupid thing he does is largely to blame. donnie's in narcissist heaven, spotlight is on him 24/7.
  23. I tried with this album, I really did, but couldn't get into it at all. I love all the old Tortoise stuff, but found this disappointing. the Rock On cover is good, but IMO it doesn't gel with the rest of it. I struggled a few times to get through the whole album, usually turned it off by the 6th or 7th track.
