  1. well based on his age, I was gonna go with the crusades. or maybe even some of those Mayan skirmishes back in the day.
  2. @ignatius that's a very coherent response to a question I was expecting to be answered with a diatribe closer to what @caze hinted at.
  3. ^ what does "death of america" mean exactly?
  4. binge watched The Outsider over the weekend. I knew nothing about it, but saw Jason Bateman was in it so gave it a go based on that. I was pleasantly surprised when it headed in the direction it went. the first 5-6 episodes or so were absolutely killer. but then it started to take to long to get to the finish line, and IMO wound up with a very disappointing ending. this could have been better suited to a 2hr movie, or maybe a 6 episode mini-series, instead of 10 episodes.
  5. I know, right? well thank god we don't have to deal with any of that, since the virus has been successfully eliminated and we should all just get on with it as normal. anyone who thinks the virus is still out there is an idiot. anyone still social distancing is a fool. in fact, I may head to the next keep america delusional rally and let all my fellow humans breath all over me just to show there is nothing to fear.
  6. personally, I don't understand all the push back toward masks and lockdowns. I mean I'm willing to sacrifice my individual beliefs for the sake of those around me. most people in the US/Europe aren't used to putting their community ahead of themselves, as opposed to in Asian countries - where mask wearing, not going out in public if you're sick, etc. are cultural norms (individualism vs. collectivism). I really do hope that this pandemic results in a permanent shift in people's behavior, which could benefit the health of all those around you. but then again, what do I know. I'm just a psuedo-intellectual holed up in my bubble, obeying the rules and spouting nonsense on an electronic music forum.
  7. ^ translation = the plan is there is no plan. just go with your fucking gut, everything will work out just fine. it always does. believe me, I totally know. people believe anything. besides, it's all just a big fucking joke. where's my cheeseburger.
  8. hey! hey! hay! wish I had drugs now, only have wine
  9. interesting, thanks! and here I was assuming someone at the label screwed the date up.
  10. I honestly thought that was a joke account... this bullet point made me lol: Partner with Other Nations to Clean Up our Planet’s Oceans
  11. wait until she's old enough to count, then give Aquarius a whirl. my son's reaction was "daddy, she's counting wrong!"
  12. just realized this is released on a Saturday? that's somewhat unique. I thought everything gets released on Friday's now.
  13. I still have a soft spot for it. I always associate this album with the month of October, usually the only time I ever play it. and after seeing the announcement yesterday, I went googling and found a quote from Billy where he said he wrote Mellon Collie for 14 - 24 year olds. sorta had an "a ha" moment when I read that.
  14. this album turns 25 today. and what other way to celebrate, than for Billy to announce a 33 track sequel to Mellon Collie that will be released at the end of next year! https://www.stereogum.com/2103278/smashing-pumpkins-announce/news/ so just to recap - he's got a 20 song album coming out next month, a 33 song album next year, AND he announced a follow up to that Shiny:Vol 2 piece of crap that is 75% done. AAAAND he announced a massive stadium tour next year that will "honor" Mellon Collie (whatever that means). thanks Billy, for continuing to drag the pumpkins name down into the abyss of mediocrity. oh well.
  15. agreed. I kept waiting for him to go down some super cringey rabbit hole, but he seemingly avoided doing so last night. I thought he responded well to most things el trumpo was throwing at him, and he seemed able to stop talking right after making his point. his response to the final question about addressing American's who didn't vote for him was on point, unlike the clown's, who re-used the hell scape imagery depiction similar to the one he babbled out during his 2016 inaugural address.
  16. are we allowed to make a citizen's arrest on him? call 911? anything? he needs to be sent to jail ASAP. no trial, nothing. his mere existence is a crime.
  17. what a week for masturbation news... first Toobin, now Rudy...yeesh
  18. lower left corner guy's reaction is great. I've watched the clip a few times now, watching each square to see that moment when their faces realize what Toobin is doing... my guess would be phone call guy is probably trying to call him to be like HEY MAN UR CAMERA'S ON!!!
  19. wow...the reactions from the other people on the zoom call were hilarious.
  20. the way she speaks and some of her mannerisms in this vid remind me of Courtney Love. arms flailing around, low talking voice, rambling
  21. but do you really think in any of our lifetimes that will happen? I would love another valid option than just dem or R, but also think it'll take some monstrous mass casualty event before the shitty 2 party system is flushed away...
  22. hey all you guys working from home - don't jerk off on a zoom call!!! https://www.vice.com/en/article/epdgm4/new-yorker-suspends-jeffrey-toobin-for-zoom-dick-incident
  23. yes. wouldn't it be nice to have some civility in government again? how about politicians acting like adults and not spoiled children run amok? I really wonder if "reaching across the aisle" is gone forever, is it always going to be a dem vs. R flame war dragging the country down in immature chaos for the foreseeable future... well at least until WWIII when shit goes nuclear and we all go bye bye.
