  1. It's just Stable Diffusion AI noodling via http://mage.space
  2. Yo, I'm 50, but that's no excuse for wearing SUCH A WILDECKER HERZBUBEN FAN SHIRT ^^ Being "old" brought me to the conclusion that there's not much progress in mainstream music. Confield is still modern and otherwordly, people listen to really easy stupid trap, or techno which just sounds as crappy as it sounded in the 90s.
  3. Tomason is a good representation of the album. What I hear there: Totally Plaid. But - too monotonous. Some twist, some nice interlude... it's lacking. Lacking inspiration? Feels like they sit at their DAW, no ideas present, do their standard business they practised for years, Tomason is born. For me, the AI theme, Dall E, it is rather off-putting. Everyone and his grandma does it.
  4. Tough one. Average. Not particularly catchy this time. 5/10 dissa points
  5. It should include samples of Shostakovich symphonies.
  6. OMG https://lexica.art/?q=aphex
  7. No progress and Plaid being Plaid? Bell sounds? Not saying it's a bad thing ?
  8. Not expectations. Just small hopes, but out of the "do not really care much" realm. WARP is glorious past. Today they have artists I do not know and a pricy store I usually and easily avoid. And they reprint vinyl. So all in all I wonder if they've become a hipster garbage bin, selling exclusivity for 50 year old IT managers with beards.
  9. If they reprint on ancient technology (vinyl), I will not care. I rather notice I should sell my old records ? AI 3 would be nice marketing, eg. to drag the old farts like me back in. TBH I don't know much about todays WARP artists.
  10. Allan Pettersson Symphony No. 9. What people love. Here's the loooooooong drama - then lamento finale, 5 minutes of crying violins - awesome. With a permanent violin like in... Ventolin ? Inclusion of the snare drum into classical music was a good thing. You could say it's like what Thom Yorke does... streeeetch the lament. I can't see why IDMers shouldn't love classical composers as well.
  11. Listening to their best tracks/remixes. E.g.:
  12. Most recent vinyl... hmmm. That has to be Ae, Are Y Are We thing. When it came out.

    Steinbolt

Perfect candlelight song. Declare Independence from Björk is another nice lullaby.
  14. C.A. is OK. Very much looking forward still. And we definitely need Stem Sells II
  15. Before WARP, I was into that D&B stuff from XL Recordings. Before that, Acid House. WARP changed everything. 1. LFO - because the hype at that time, on my side, was unreal 2. Ae - The future indeed began 3. RDJ - Well, he did that crazy shit. Loved to torture neighbors with Ventolin 4. []pusher 5. Sweet Exorcist OK, time for Nostalgia ? -> a) I had my credit card because of WARP. The only way to easily pay the good stuff b) I annoyed them @Warp Sheffield via letters and fax, pure fanboyism like "guys, next LFO WHEN WHEN WHEN" - they didn't have real flow after Frequencies IMO. We Are Back was glorious. c) Aww they sent those sweet "RDJ GRIN" masks - I lost them over the years d) But I still have the RDJ calendar unopened. e) I downloaded AFX Hangable Auto Bulb (that one song) 128kbps mp3 illegally in some internet shop, took only an hour or so. I WOZ KING f) Basically it was a time of going into record shops and hunting for Purple Warp Records. Instantly buying those because it was WARP. Guaranteed to be good. g) Hmm. Almost. Because Jimi Tenor WTF h) Yo I'm 50 i) There was some aniversary show on MTV, "We are reasonable people" I think. My thoughts were "now the world sees whats decent". Also on Viva German music TV there was that RDJ fanboy. Forgot name. Good marketing. j) Tricky Disco lol PS: LFO - THESE GUYS are so underrated!!!11!!"""§$$
  16. I want to add some remarks, friendly remarks with a criticism. Just because I care, I love your music. I find missed opportunities at times. There are moments, which really ask for something specific very clearly, but it's not done this way. 1. The title track. It's an authority really. So well crafted - I think the moment at 9:55 - it screams for a louder pad carrying beauty in the background chords. 2. Same thing, in the Heogen - Rectangular Triangles opener. That moment after the break at ~5:00, soooo beautiful... it should have been kept longer, but it got replaced too quickly. I know I'm an idiot, artistic decision etc., maybe I'm a pad fetishist ? //but yeah that's my thoughts.
  17. Beats again. Really looking forward to listening to it.
  18. The most beautiful playing of the most beautiful german folk song:
  19. No problem... That's Shackbu from "Rest Proof Clockwork".
  20. I was thinking some titles are a bit too much... (Knamleck Forms Gumsun Dack Gumsun) but still. May help that I'm not a native EN speaker. ?
  21. Stalker Anomaly GAMMA. Best Stalker ever. Good advertising by Drewski:
