  1. I'm still considering how to arrange all my favs, but I built this grab bag that gives you 10 albums I that I liked, at random (tho I need to add stuff from the past month), and I also just built a 2023 music critic simulator that will generate some potentially questionable opinions about music from the year, so if anyone's looking for a novel way to find stuff from this year, I think it's a fun one
  2. This was intended by Autechre, as a way of discouraging people from listening to it on vinyl, because it's digital music
  3. Blectum from Blechdom have some singing but also a good chunk of instrumental material. Then there's also Fe-Mail, though that's noise
  4. I really wish that they would invent another political position besides president. It seems so difficult that our only chance at having good politics in this country is to elect the perfect leftist to this one position. Like yeah, obviously once we achieved that, we'd have a total victory, and would see zero pushback from congress or the supreme court. So people are absolutely justified on having tunnel vision over the presidency. But sometimes, I wish there was another way.
  5. It's so funny to me that Grimes is "Grimes" like can you even imagine "hi yes I'm Grimes" and you're an adult with children saying that kind of shit
  6. This is cool but it is still not the exact thing that I want to hear from this prompt. I don't think AI can rightfully be considered good until it can successfully satisfy this prompt "Jean jacques perrey"-style cartoonish moog synthesizer playing yakety sax _jean-jacques-perrey_-style-cartoonish-moog-synthesizer-playing-yakety-sax_091423.mp3
  7. Love this album! So many unexpected developments in the tracks, to the point where it feels like the whole thing should fall apart from getting pulled in opposing directions, but there's something I can't quite put my finger on that's holding it all together.
  8. You have said the opposite of a true thing here https://circle.tufts.edu/latest-research/half-youth-voted-2020-11-point-increase-2016 https://circle.tufts.edu/latest-research/gen-z-voted-higher-rate-2022-previous-generations-their-first-midterm-election
  9. Re: features, the press release shown on https://www.turntablelab.com/products/oneohtrix-point-never-again-colored-vinyl-vinyl-2lp seems to suggest that we may see some from Lee Ranaldo, Jim O'Rourke (?!), and Xiu Xiu.
  10. "The Energy Discrimination Elimination Act is just one of the thousands of pieces of legislation ALEC has disseminated nationwide since its formation in 1973. According to a two-year investigation of “copycat” bills published in 2019 by USA Today, the Arizona Republic and the Center for Public Integrity, state lawmakers introduced nearly 2,900 bills based on ALEC templates from 2010 through 2018. More than 600 of them became law." https://blog.ucsusa.org/elliott-negin/how-the-american-legislative-exchange-council-turns-disinformation-into-law/ 20% success rate is pretty good for them (and bad for us). Tho as far as state numbers go, I'm not sure, but I'd guess any of the ones with republican dominance in state governments are getting hit by it
  11. Well I mean ALEC does provide a lot of copy-paste laws that pop up in many states on the legislative side, but I'll admit I don't know a lot on how it works with executive branch departments. I mostly just wanted to try to see if there could be any movement away from the horserace/wacko candidate/prison speculation type of stuff.
  12. If you guys wanna see the details of what's getting cooked up for the next republican president, the think tanks that make the actual policy have put out some extensive documents https://www.project2025.org/policy/
  13. I'd try to find a way to turn the wealth into more money, and then use the money to support my favored causes
  14. Personally if I saw some soldier making puppy dog eyes at me looking in thru my window while I eat a big turkey dinner, I'd feel pretty shitty. But maybe thats because I have a HEART
  15. Everyone has the right to be shitty, this is america, it's in the constitution (3rd amendment). But we have the right to say that he sucks for it (one of the other amendments)
  16. No see that's why this is such a betrayal to go on tucker
