  1. That film was such a disappointment. As was Polanski's Carnage I watched a couple of days ago...
  2. Bill would double backflip in his grave over that statement. Certainly:) I was only entertaining an exaggerated premise of a deranged comedian :)
  3. ay, caramba it's just karma. maxican invasion is the equivalent to white invasion of american indigenous population. there must be balance in the force, you see. maybe it's even alah who sends hurricanes to usa, you never know, thoughts and prayers work, sheeple
  4. special designer song fiiiiiiiiiiiiiiooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooouuuuuuuuuuuuuiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiii
  5. Since around the time of WW2, h**wood is a propaganda machine. 1984 is well here. If anything, we're headed for Blade Runner 2049.
  6. Well I really didn't know about this Change my mind shite until two days ago. I actually thought this was a meme the whole time so...yea, as soon as I watched through the Yusef vs him 'debate' I canceled the video as it was obvious the guy is a hack and most probably a think-tank talking head (like Ben Shapiro and the likes). So, yeah, ugh, I agree completely. However, I linked it to eczem to illustrate a point, a case study if you will, how such debates are set up most of the time, related to his comment about warped dialogue, which I think it's a fair observation. To give an illusion of a democratic, almost Ancient Greek agora discourse, but in reality it is a rhetoric competition, a definition war, a semantics squabble, diverting attention and finally an outright 'time is up buddy' cut. And mostly because Yusef managed to squeeze in very clear and solid arguments that can spur further research... The topic itself is immensely complex, and definitely cannot be resolved easily, nor by a single master mind like in simpler times Marx managed. But there is one thing clear. Both sides of the debate must elevate their perception and include a whole lot more holistic approach to the problem, which means also both sides will have to swallow big chunks of red pills in order to progress the debate and provide any feasible solutions.
  7. Are you trying to say I'm being nerdy and not fun at parties? Yea, happens sometimes :) I'm always up for a snooker or two... I'll leave you to talk about other FWPs, sorry for being off topic.
  8. If you want to see through the smoke screens and warped dialogue, take this simple example: https://youtu.be/xF2lFGyADtM?t=7m21s The first 20 minutes is Steven vs Yusuf, and Yusuf basically destroys that bully.
  9. Well I dunno. innit, to me at least (I'm no linguist or whatever), is kind of on point if there is an emphasis or highlight in your spoken message at which you request your listener's response. Sure, it could be abused as a filler, but it's not as common I guess - more a personal thing. Whereas uptalk is a generational/peer thing and basically all millenials do it, from club goers, Apple store employees to students speaking between each other and on the telly and seems like the only punctuation they know...
  10. Yeah, it's valley talk and it has a longer history than I realized? i thought it's a recent fad, but apparently this goes back to the 70/80s? so, like, I was reading into it? And some linguist or psychologists or what? are saying that: So, like, when I was reading this? i realized that what bothers me? is exactly that obnoxious, self-entitled style? that really has no substance to it? but is there just to keep the attention.
  11. FWP: Uptalk, or high rising terminal (hell yeah, research). Jesus help me, this is so annoying. I can't listen to anybody talking this way.
  12. The stupidest idea of the so-called intelligent species, is going to Mars. Why is that barren planet so attractive to people (beside stroking the tech-science cock) is beyond me. Instead of facing responsibility for fucking around with this planet, humanity shows its lack of development as a species.
  13. Since he was demoted to CEO position, an action which also requires votes of the board, it is hardly unlikely he is enjoying majority support atm. In the future, however, things can change. If you mean to imply that he can get back on board by winning the majority over again, what would make him succeed at that? Otherwise I don't see how this is connected to what I was saying earlier. Of course they were looking to get there first. That's hella important, and it took a lot of effort in a short time. Why do you think they made such an impact? Tesla caught major car manufacturers off guard! Toyota was on the right track, but they were still feeling it out. That Tesla decided to share the patents is an immensely controversial move and this was after the fact. But controversial it is only by the standards of the big ole guys. This is why country clubs and freemasons exist. Once you get enough money, you get enough power to do things your way and that could really make a bad example of the old guard, who cling onto their own capitalist sermon, because it serves them too damn well.
  14. Yeah, I have a million ideas too, I've invented all sorts of cool contraptions and software, but 99% of it I don't end up actually making. I don't get to claim credit for these things and I don't get to take away any glory from people who actually go out and do them, even if they do them in a way that is less grand than my unimplemented ideas. Elon's doing these things, BMW isn't. No doubt BMW has enough resources to have tried to do this, but they didn't care enough to bother because it's "not worth it" as you said that they said, even though climate change is extremely important and one of the biggest existential threats to humanity, let's talk down on Tesla because BMW deemed it "not worth it" yet. Well it is worth it because Tesla is now working out all the kinks that need to be worked out and dealing with unscrupulous business practices on the part of gas car companies and dealerships exerting pressure on politicians to prevent him from even being able to sell his product, and he's dealing with it and making it easier for people who want to get into the electric car space in the future. I hear a lot about unjustified Elon Musk hype, but most of it seems to be invented by these people who hate him. Nobody's saying he invented electric cars or anything retarded like this, but he's the only one making them popular right now, that is what he did and it's worth recognition, BMW hasn't done shit except for their retarded boxy thing that you rarely see on the road. I see Teslas at every single stop light every day. With these three business maxims at your hand's reach, it will make you understand big business practices better: cheat, be first, be smart. Corporations are always on the lookout for new techs, ideas, concepts. By keeping the finger on the pulse of global R&D, corporations can anticipate and prepare. It's all about market shares and being ahead of the curve in the end. Startup or garage R&D initiatives are being bought and sealed to prevent the knowledge to be used by the competition. Sometimes, the techs are locked in vaults and in silent development until the time is right. So much about the BMW case. Musk most probably wanted to be the first. However, global business is a closed community and you have to play by the rules. Musk developed immense social capital (the tech-messiah thing, the real-life tony stark yadayada) which would increase his influence million-fold if he is successful, effectively putting the established country clubs and freemasons at a disadvantage. By removing Musk from the board to the CEO position, he was effectively put on a short leash and can even be ousted.
  15. My e-ink reader's screen died. I have no idea what happened. One evening I put it down like I always do, the next day I want to use it, but the screen is now an abstract painting. I was kind of attached to that apparatus. Everything is falling apart these days...
  16. Well I would, but your argument is such an oversized generalization you basically started this fight with nukes and that doesn't lead anywhere. Sniper rifles or katanas, otherwise, no fight.
  17. watmm is like matrix. joyrex is teh architect, the ipbb frontend and backend is what you read in falling code, everyone else is either agents or programs of different kind and every once and a while a neo vibe spurts and spreads like wildfire. soon, whole watmm is in some sort optimistic mental meme behavior, collapsing the system. after the confrontation in pouring rain, neo gets banned. and then all over again.
  18. After reading No Country for Old Men, I absolutely don't doubt this quote. no need to read anything to know that
  19. Just get that automatic shotgun, upgrade the skills and headshot your way forward. Deus Ex Human Revolution did a lot of things right, just not the story, unfortunately, which is, for me in this case, of paramount importance. Invest in cavalry. You don't need a lot of units and they move fast, so they are some sort of a fire brigade. Otherwise, play the Black Forest map. Build stone walls on choke points once you reach Feudal Age. This will buy you time to grow your economy and army. My favorite are the Britons with their Elite Longbowman. An army of about 40 longbowmen, some cavalry to deal with siege weapons, and four trebuches is invincible even on hard modes. Get an AI ally, it helps.
  20. Man, I completely understand your problem. I had some entitled asshole roommates several years ago. There is a line when being nice and courteous just ain't gonna cut it anymore. Asshole people just brush off nice people, they ignore or play around your wish to settle things in a grown up way, because they are passive-aggressively cornering you. It's a dominance game and there is a whole lot of psychology involved. First talk to the landlord/lady about them, and make sure everything is laid out and clear what they are doing and how this affects you. Take photos for proof if you have to. Then talk to your roommates. Make ultimate demands according to house rules and contract clauses with a serious tone (no yelling, or physical stuff), get that stern look and remind them they are living in a community and they can't have it their way. Point out your previous efforts to settle things in a peaceful manner, but assert yourself that this is the final chance or they will face eviction. There is no shame in bringing the landlord/lady in this, because if you don't, it's basically your will against theirs. That is of course not true, but unfortunately, asshole people see it that way and things can escalate to a quiet or loud war which will eventually degrade into really bad case of thick idiots against a frustrated guy, with the latter then moving out because fuck that shit. So if you like and/or need that place you will have to do something about it.
  21. Time and space are inseparable, they are the same 'fabric'. Once upon a time (lol), there was nothing, not even time. A rift from another dimension enabled matter to create our universe. If this infinitely dense singularity appeared and began to expand, a previous universe most likely existed. As the local singularities (super massive black holes) consume more and more matter, merging with other singularities, eventually all matter will be one singularity again. The old world will collapse, the new rift will appear.... So the real question is, are there other dimensions, or there is a single universe expanding and collapsing infinitely? edit: another question is, where all this matter came from?
