Watch some of his shows for sure. I'm going to check out a lot of his stuff I missed. He seemed genuine and created what I'd call constructive entertainment, which keeps you interested, but informs you and gets you to change your perspective without any persuasion.

I mean I thhhhhhhiiiiinkk there is supposed to be this sort of irony to IDM, like the musical progressions AREN'T supposed to make sense or lead anywhere but in a way that gets your brain confused. But there is a sense of humor to the best form of this kind of music that people completely mess up at doing. And then probably the best IDM albums were just stealth candid and honest album in disguise, Lunatic Harness imo Edit: u-ziq Strawberry Fields Hotel, the best idm guys prove they can make the brutally honest/candid stuff if they felt like it Mountain Island Boner is a top track. Autechre’s hip hop leanings are good too. They can get away with all kinds of wankery because abstract cyborg shits were their invention.

I was being a bit harsh maybe though I agree with Ragnar. It just seems like a lot of IDM kinda misses the point, at least to my ears. Arca is really good though. That &&&&& thing is wicked.

I like a lot of the classics and a few odds n ends but IDM was seriously a huge waste of time for me. The absolute worst genre to be a snob about. Most of it is bullshit and “difficult” with a bad sense of experimentation.

There’s no need to scrap the album, just get Nickelus F to record new verses and it’ll be the best possible outcome. Antwon was lame and I watched a few Secret Circle interviews where he hogs the mic and keeps going off on obnoxious, unfunny tangents. -

I dunno, I think his act is still pretty exaggerated compared to some episodes of spontaneous wanking 15 years ago, but I do see where you are coming from at least. -
