oh watmm, so cheeky...all the time. im not trying to track down any one person in particular at the moment...although once i find out how, i will be tracking down people, legally and with good intent. ill also add that i just need to be able to pinpoint the city of a poster, not their address...if that helps

I love it. I'd give anything to ring your bell and just scream "BCM" while flashing dual devil horns when the door opened.

*goes to different message board for help*

*celebrates*

Anyway, if you ran an Apache mod on the SQL server through ipconfig and ping it all through the command line then everyone's IPs will be visible -

how in the world is that supposed to help me joyrex?

The fact of the matter than unless a messageboard has exposed everyone's IP to be viewable, it's not getting written to the page at the time you view the page, based on your permissions. So, in short, unless the forum in question has everyone's IP exposed, you'll never find out.

Add to that a lot of people post from proxies (corporate or otherwise) these days, finding *exactly* where they are is nigh impossible.

Time for you to find a new topic to try and gain attention with.
