Some questionable first album purchases here... I Care Because You Do? Really?

Anyways, as far as I can remember this was the first CD I ever bought:

Although I had this when I was younger, presumably bought by my parents, its location is now sadly unknown:

edit: mine was a CD not a 10"

This.

The first album I bought myself was Nirvana, Nevermind. At least, I'm pretty sure it was. I remember letting my five year old cousin listen to the start of side B before I did, and she started laughing because of that mock parody of Everybody Get Together at the start of Territorial pissings. I was like "WTF why r u loling?" and she was like "it funny!" And I had to admit it kind of was, but in an angry kind of way. I really loved that album.

I'm not sure what the first vinyl I bought was. It was probably The Pixies "Dig For Fire" 12" Maxi-single.

Before MP3s, I spent years trying to collect all of their b-sides.

About a year or two after I was just about finished, they released the CD collection of their B-Sides.

Nik Kershaw - Human Racing. First artist I really liked, and not just some hand me down act or album from an older brother or sister.

Some best-f cassette from The Beach Boys. They have so many I couldn't say which one it was, I just know it was around 1985.

Followed closely by this one. I was 9.

I was 8 years old.

Had this way back whenever the movie came out. I know I was really little because I had this on cassette and listened to it on a "My First Sony" and everything.

Potentially IDM in that Mark Mothersbaugh was pretty much the brain behind it.
